The highlight of this episode for me was definitely the female friendship and solidarity in the first half of the episode, but it's been all around enjoyable.

Just when you think the story with leave you feeling downbeat, something happens to elevate your mood. Besides the obvious chemistry between the leads in their scenes together, the clever and fast paced writing as well as Yang Zi’s moving acting makes it a compelling watch. My only complaint is that I know I am looking at costumes and jewellery that have been painstakingly designed and yet it’s a fleeting moment onscreen. Her mother’s jade necklace being a case in point. Also as with any subbing, I always wonder what connotations I am missing in the clever conversations. Such as the conversation during the hunt with his mentor. Or when the leads negotiate terms for her new papers.
