Yan Chi joins the Ministry of Justice as the Judicial Surveillance Commissioner to investigate what happened to Prince Jin. He officially invites Shen Wan to join him in solving cases, giving her freedom to enter the capital to investigate her father’s death. They investigate the death of Concubine Liu at the Marquis Zhong Yang's premises.

Why some people are rating the drama so low. I was shocked to see the rating suddenly go down. Please, if you do not want to watch, please drop it. No need to rate the drama low just for your satisfaction. The actors are putting their best in their work we need to support and respect them.

Our young marshal is so madly in love without even realising it himself. Qin Wan lowered her guard around him a little due to his request, and that alone made him the happiest person alive. 😆💘💓 I can almost imagine him shouting, "HELL YESS! SHE FINALLY STOPPED BEING FORMAL WITH ME! (●♡∀♡)~♪ "

The Prince has cleared it so that Shen Wan can help be coroner without family intervening. Who is tampering with the wife’s medicine? Why do they want her and baby harmed? The matriarch of the house😝 She is not even trying to get relief meds for her worthless son. She definitely values most family appearances and has grandson following her footsteps in that regard. This family😝What an act to be all indignant of strip searches when she knew all along exactly why. The servants weren’t the problem. Seems only the nobles are affected. Now does that include the grandson? Qin Wan would not have lasted long with this group. No wonder her father rarely visited home or told them when she passed. There is a story of the wells and now to find out what it is and how steward Liu fits in. Is he the culprit or covering up for the nobles? How does the daughter fit into this? She does not have the game her mother does in lying and coverups but definitely had a grudge against concubine. I am not surprised the new maids are spies, but what are they hoping to find? And who do they report to? I like how the royals subtly reject them at every opportunity. They are not rude or overt about it, they just treat them as nonentities as they go about their business with Shen Wan.😂 She really needs away from this bunch ASAP. As dangerous as the capital could be for her, it’s better than “family” constantly plotting against you.
