It’s incomplete drama because of unexpectedly incident

Love syndrome the beginning becomes full complete storyline if the director who directs this won’t die . I watch love syndrome the beginning first episode it’s not that much bad casting acting is good not bad . Also actors was handsome too. But I like old love syndrome III actors more than this actors . Legends that Olds can’t be replaced old is gold . But sadly when I hear about the actors who perform love syndrome III not perform together bl drama anymore it’s kindly sad me because one actor who perform as “it “character he lefts career as a bl . He is no longer perform as bl actor anymore. I really miss them so much because there chemistry hits different way to me .
I can’t rate this that much because it’s incomplete by the way . I don’t think so it’s next part will ever come in this life my hope was 1000 % gone .

Pretty close to the book

The Day character was actually more like the one in the book very brutal
book
The whole show was the production wasn't as great as LSlll but they did a good job. Gus and Four was a good addition to the storyline. A lot of the characters are different from the tv version and it's not as long. I hope they do a part two or there is no point to watch.

Anatomy of a Romanticized Trauma (Worse in adaptation, but certainly better than the series)

After the series I thought the worst was over. And yet no: Love Syndrome: The Beginning takes the toxicity of Love Syndrome III and turns it into a 90-minute film that is neither a true prequel nor a sequel, but an operation of “alternative reconstruction.” A sort of “what if” disguised as an official movie. A product that, on paper, could have remedied the mistakes of the series. In practice? Not only does it not correct them: it condenses them, amplifies them, and sells them as great cinema.

= A film that doesn’t clarify, but complicates

The title suggests a return to the origins, but in reality the film is nothing more than a romanticized re-cut of the same dynamics already seen: Gear/Night on one side and Day/Itt on the other.
And while the first couple has moments of real tension and palpable attraction, the second repeats the same toxic pattern without any filter. It’s as if someone had taken the most violent and problematic scenes from the series, lined them up one after the other, and said: “Here’s the cursed love you’ve all been waiting for.”

SPOILER RED ZONE

Day and Itt: trauma as spectacle
The relationship between the two is not built: it’s thrown at the viewer in crude scenes, without context, without progression. The film doesn’t show why or how the two should love each other: it just insists on Day’s obsession and Itt’s surrender, in a visual loop of violence disguised as passion.

The scene of total control
Day decides for Itt, strips him of autonomy, isolates him. There are no nuances: the message is clear, “you are mine.” And instead of treating this as the lowest point of the relationship, the film decorates it with a romantic aesthetic. Soft lighting, languid close-ups, background music. It’s emotional pornography of dependency.

Gear and Night as a decoy
Their story is more interesting, more sensual, more authentic. But it only serves as a distraction: the counterpoint that makes the brutality of Day/Itt’s relationship even more evident. The viewer is forced to compare, and every time the toxic relationship emerges more sick and more forced.

= Psychology reduced to clichés

Day: still the classic romanticized abuser. The film gives him more aesthetic space (heroic framing, “protective” gestures), but psychologically nothing changes. It’s still control, jealousy, manipulation. Just better packaged.

Itt: doesn’t grow, doesn’t react, doesn’t reclaim his voice. He endures. His surrender is total, and the film sells it as loyalty and patience. It’s the very negation of a character’s autonomy.

Gear and Night: the only glimmer of authenticity, but used as contrast and filler.

= Why it hurts even more

If the series was slow and diluted, the film is a concentrate. In 90 minutes you get no break: you’re bombarded with toxic dynamics without respite, without critical context, without even the pauses that let you reflect. It’s a compression that brings not intensity, but nausea.

And above all, the psychological impact is devastating:

If you’ve experienced abuse, it’s a constant trigger, packaged as a love story.

If you haven’t, you risk normalizing it: you learn that love = jealousy, possession, submission, total surrender.

= Conclusion

Love Syndrome: The Beginning is not a prequel, not a clarification, not a useful addition. It’s the same toxic story from the series, compressed, polished, and served as if it were the “true” heart of the saga.
A film that offers neither redemption nor reflection, but just another celebration of abuse as passion.

It’s not love. It never will be. It’s acceptance, dependency, annihilation.

The same sick fairytale, but in a useless, toxic “director’s cut” version.

This was pretty bad!!!

Just finished watching this and I'm like WTH did I just watch? The acting was terrible and it didn't follow the book. Frank and Long did a much better job with the acting and the toxicity in love syndrome 3. I don't know what this was. Who directed this and chose these actors to play these roles? This was awful and I don't recommend this to anyone to watch!

Don't let your curiosity be stronger than yourself.

****TW//r4pe****
They literally made Day worse than he was on the books, I didn't think that was possible.
1. He wanted to take revenge for what they did to his brother, in the books he did to Itt what Gear did to Night but a hundred times more, but here, Gear never r4ped Night and Day still did that to Itt.
2. The only time Day was violent towards Night was when he slapped Night, but here he was even hurting him when he took his arm.
I watched this out of curiosity, I never thought I would like it, but it's worse than I thought.

Unless there’s a sequel, Don’t Watch

First off I would like to say something VERY IMPORTANT:
To those who have experienced sexual assault, even if you are now in a better place and think you’ve healed enough, don’t risk your mental health by watching this.
If there’s one thing that was well made in this movie was the SA scene. From a victim: it felt like I was reliving my own assault even if the details aren’t even slightly the same, it was just so well acted and scripted that my body reacted instantly.
Spare yourself, go watch something else, stay safe and love yourself.

Those who watched the other 2 series associated with this (these are side characters of Unforgotten Night and the characters of Love Syndrome III) will be severely disappointed unless there’s a sequel.
This movie alone explains absolutely NOTHING, so if you are just now being introduced to the characters you will absolutely lost.

TW:
- Rape (repeatedly)
- Non-con recording
- Severe beatings and torture
- Abusive behavior
- Abduction and drugging

There’s nothing enjoyable about this.
Spoilers (but not really):
After Gear records a sexual encounter with Night after a bet with his friends, Day (Night’s brother) is out for revenge. He sets up Itt, the friend that made bet, getting him to go back to his house on the pretense of paying for damaging his car. Itt is then drugged, beaten unconscious and raped while being recorded, all by Day who wants revenge by his younger brother. This lasts over a few days, meanwhile Gear and Night are happily together going on dates after having made up.
When Night shows up with Gear, Day promptly freaks out and that night Gear comes and takes Night on a romantic getaway.
Ofc, as expected, when Day finds out he beats the living shit out of Itt who’s been trying desperately to contact Gear to no avail.

It ends on a cliffhanger with Itt finally getting a hold of Gear and telling him Day has found where he his and is coming to beat him up.

There is ZERO romance, even between Gear and Night it’s more portrayed as some sort of Stockholm Syndrome like “you where my first and only one, I still love and forgive you even though you literally recorded us having sex and showed it to your friends”.
I already HATED the backstory of Day and Itt when I first heard it in Love Syndrome III but this took it to a whole new level.
I loved Itt and Day in Unforgotten Night, hated them in Love Syndrome III and now I’m just plain DISGUSTED at this “couple”.
A sequel here would have to have a redemption arc so incredible for Day that I don’t know it’s even possible.
So far, there’s absolutely no hope. It’s a disgusting story about someone getting raped and beaten, nothing else.

I give props to the actors of Itt and Day though, they did a fantastic job, I hope they had a good team behind them making sure they were okay because scenes like that can take a toll on a person even if it’s just an act.

the dunk school of acting

it is i, the niel.

let me just be clear, this was not about day and itt whatsoever. 90% of what's specified in the synopsis doesn't even happen in the first place. an hour and thirty minutes long, and all of it was filler. we get one glimpse of maybe could-be plot in a brief flash before it just crumbles before us.

you look at the synopsis, you assume that the movie is going to be about day and itt, yet what we know about day and itt is almost entirely derived from having read the synopsis prior to watching. day is a freak (derogatory). he goes through the trouble of seeking out itt to get revenge for night, then 2 minutes later slaps night and keeps him locked up in his room.

the acting. woof. i started off noting that the actor who played itt wasn't really doing the best job. i eventually realized that it's the entire cast. i think that there were way too many characters, and way too many people involved with this movie, both on the screen and off of the screen. too many couples, one of which was established with like 2 minutes remaining.

some questions: what is this movie about? what even is the point of any of this? why did itt follow day into his house and accept a random beer from him? what is day's deal? why didn't he also initially go after gear? why are there so many characters? why are they all related? do they have anything going on in their lives? why do they just seemingly stand around together in clusters? how did gear scale the house? why did they introduce a new character over halfway into the movie? why did we get a solid 15-minute montage devoted to jet ski footage? and one last time, what's this movie even about?

don't watch this, even if you're bored. it is nothing like the masterpiece of unforgotten night. i went into this with hope, because it's in the same universe as unforgotten night, and i ended up with a broken heart. blimey!!

best,

the niel.

disappointing

I was looking forward to this. I had been constantly searching for when it was releasing. I really enjoyed the book and series. Love Syndrome is about Itt and Day. there wasn’t enough of them. I was hoping to see Neil and Nick’s story come to life, but Nick wasn’t even in it. If there is a second part, I would still watch it though. the actors did a fantastic job I just think the script needed some work. probably would have been better a series. it could have gone into more detail with the story line. so happy to see Neil being played by the same actor. this was the third recast for Day and Itt but they did a great job. overall it was a Huge letdown!!

It was ok

To me it wasn't enough like I didn't think it was as good as love syndrome. this one just kind of gets on my nerves. like I wanted to punch day in the face so badly but I didn't get to so. I don't recommend this show.
