After Xiao Bei introduces Lao Gong as his friend, Li Xiao Xi is visibly unsettled. As the group discusses marriage and love, Lao Gong openly states that love is a matter of choice and convenience rather than purity, which leaves Li Xiao Xi unsettled and questioning what genuine love truly means. Earlier, Li Xiao Xi had approached Lao Gong under a false identity (as Jiang Yi Fan) while helping Yu He test her boyfriend. Their interactions gradually crossed professional boundaries until her deception was exposed. When Lao Gong confessed his feelings and suggested pursuing a relationship despite having a girlfriend, Li Xiao Xi was repulsed and chose to leave, cutting off all contact. (Source: NAY at kisskh)
