Great Show; Definitely Underrated
I am shocked by how low the overall rating is for this show. I thought it was a very solid plot, with superb acting. The conflict and dilemmas that the FL and ML went through seemed reasonable and logical. The backstory for both of them was good and emotional, and helped me understand their characters better. I haven't watched a drama that made me feel so much because of the sheer chemistry between the ML and FL in a long time.If you like a good romance with characters that have good chemistry and fun and entertaining side characters, I highly recommend this drama.

A cute "Moon Sang Min" series, do not skip it if you need sweetness :)
Very cute Rom series (10 ep.) with Moon Sang Min (•ө•)♡PLOT: The FL, had a super difficult childhood, is now manager in a big company. She is in relationship with the ML, a young colleague. She discovers that he is a 3rd generation chaebol. The ML's mother offers her a large sum of money to break up with her son, and the FL accepts. But the ML is hanging on!!
+++ Great CL (despite age-gap) with Moon Sang Min (too hot) and Shin Hyun Been. Lots of kisses and skinship (as lovers do).
+++ 2ndary very cute and modern romance, which goes beyond clichés.
+++ Nice 2dary characters (except for the colleague duo --- excessive touch of humor)
+++ Effective production, without downtime, with beautiful images and very suitable effects (visual and sound).
+++ OST 👍👍👍
### Some clichés
=> Endearing, light, cute series. Highly recommended when you need a little gentleness (•ө•)♡

Like scrolling dating apps at 2 AM , technically romantic, mostly just mildly depressing
"Midnight magic? Try convenience store small talk and chaebol trauma at 2 AM." 🕑Cinderella at 2 AM: 6.5/10 ( at best ) – A Slow-Burn Romance Where the Fire Barely Simmered and the Plot Hit Snooze
✨ THE GOOD:
Modern Cinderella vibes – No shoes lost, but pride? Regularly.
Cute concept – “What if love bloomed... in fluorescent lighting and emotional exhaustion?”
Side couple supremacy – The in-laws had more chemistry, better pacing, and a full plot. Who greenlit the leads?
💤 THE “WAKE ME WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENS” MOMENTS:
Slow burn? Try glacial. I’ve seen bananas ripen faster.
Clichés on tap – Rich guy, cold mom, career girl with trauma—bingo!
FL’s vibe – Strong and silent, or just quietly confused for 16 episodes?
💏 THE “JUST HUG OR SOMETHING” FACTOR:
Romance was… present. Like background music at a bank.
Kisses? Sparse. Tension? Polite at best.
The chemistry felt like coworkers who once shared an Uber.
🎯 VERDICT:
"Like scrolling dating apps at 2 AM—technically romantic, mostly just mildly depressing."
Watch if: You’re into ultra-soft love stories, mild plot drama, and zero risk of emotional whiplash.
Skip if: You like momentum, passion, or the occasional sign of life.
Best paired with: ☕ Reheated coffee, emotional detachment, and that one friend who swears “it gets better by episode 10” (it doesn’t).

It started great and fun, and then went downhil and disappeared
It looked hopeful when it started, the FL was competentBut then ... the script got lousy and the whole drama just went downhill and disappeared into nothing....
I just remember being frustrated... The plot lost meaning and it was just wheel-spinning-in-place, just churning for 16 episodes to get it over with

Cinderella at 2AM proved that even 10 episodes can feel long when nothing happens.
I write really long reviews but here's a summary. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and I don't mean to offend anyone ❤️This one's a bit long- so if you like slightly detailed reviews, you're gonna (hopefully) love this.
❗SPOILERS AHEAD❗
The Good
Moon Sang Min as Joo Won
Let’s be real—Moon Sang Min carried this drama. His character was the only reason I powered through. Joo Won was so my type, and I don’t care what anyone says!! He was adorable, loyal, and had me seriously questioning my own standards. The casting? Chef’s kiss. He fit the role perfectly.
Si Won & Mi Jin’s Side Romance
Si Won and Mi Jin’s relationship was the real saving grace of this show. Their romance was way more entertaining than the main couple’s, and they stole the spotlight every single time they were on screen. Si Won was hilarious, Mi Jin had charm, and together they made every scene better. Usually, side character arcs bore me or feel like filler, but not this time—I was all in.
The Bad
Boring Story & Endless Loops
This drama was painfully slow and uneventful. Like… how does a show with fewer episodes than usual still feel like a marathon? From episode 3 to the very end, it was the same tired loop: Joo Won chasing, her pushing him away—and not in a flirty, will-they-won’t-they way. Just… pushing.
Her Unbalanced “Love”
Their love felt more like 20/80 than 50/50. Joo Won was out here treating her like his entire world, while she was giving the emotional equivalent of dry toast. I get that she was the one who ended things, but come on—where was the longing? The late-night breakdowns? The “almost called you but didn’t” scenes?
Sure, she mentions her feelings later, but by then it felt like a random info drop. There was no emotional buildup, so it didn’t land. And don’t get me started on the wedding. She put zero effort into planning and genuinely thought work achievements were more important than showing up for their future together. Like girl, be serious. He was rightfully upset, and I felt zero sympathy for her.
Underwhelming Acting Choices
No shade—it’s not easy being an actor—but I needed more range from Yoon Seo. Every time she was annoyed or uncomfortable, it was the same expression. If you’ve seen it, you know exactly which one I’m talking about. It got repetitive fast.
No Antagonist & Wasted Trauma
The show dragged because there was no real antagonist or tension. Joo Won’s mom? A minor inconvenience at best. No external pressure, no urgency—just vibes.
And the abuse storyline? Wasted. It could’ve added depth, but instead it felt like a sympathy card that went nowhere. Her trauma was barely explored. Her parents die off-screen, and the whole thing is forgotten. If they’d actually shown how that trauma affected her current relationship—maybe fears of repeating past patterns—it would’ve brought some much-needed emotional complexity.
Everyone Felt Like a Side Character
No one in this show had real development. It felt like everyone—even the leads—were just floating through. No character arcs, no personal growth. While Si Won & Mi Jin came close, the rest were flat and forgettable. It made the show feel hollow.
The “Block” Button?
This one's short: why didn’t she just block the number? Before she knew it was the artist, she had no reason to keep responding. Watching her get mad at texts she could’ve stopped instantly? Infuriating. Girl, just hit “block” and move on.
Final Thoughts
Cinderella at 2AM somehow made 10 episodes feel like 20. I didn’t go in with high expectations, and it still managed to underwhelm. By the end, I was half-watching—just trying to get through it.
Joo Won was perfection, and Si Won and Mi Jin brought some much-needed life, but it wasn’t enough to save a flat plot and one-sided romance. The pacing dragged, there were no real stakes, and the “other lover” subplot was as weak as the rushed wedding.
Honestly, the only reason I’d revisit this show is to remind myself what true loyalty looks like—because Joo Won really set the bar. So for that… I guess I owe it a tiny thanks. Just a little.

REALLY COOL, hope they take some ideas from this and make something perfect
The worse part of this show was that I wanted so much more from it.This is not a melodrama or something hard to watch but since it touches some though subjects I left like it could be more impactful. The comedy is great and the acting is also good, I found my self actually laughing especially in the beginning, mostly from how corny and wholesome it was.
The main quality that hocked me, was how the plot felt realistic and intimate, showing that the characters are allowed to hate, suffer and have messy emotions. Being able to break-up, have regrets and then this decisions actually having an effect, not something that's resolved in a time skip or in 10 minutes WAS GREAT IF IT WAS TAKEN MORE SERIOUSLY.
What I mean by that is that, even though the plot has some very interesting decisions, I felt like the characters weren't completely allowed to full regret or suffer or even hate each other. The ML could easily still love the FL , but actually begin to have some stronger emotion, like hate or suffer from her decisions, instead they choose to make him a literal prince who will wait from the FL with almost not negative feelings. If the FL is going to regret and understand that she hurt the ML, why not show that he was actually suffering and that he was beginning to feel like she wronged him( they actually have 1 episode where he begins to show this side but since it's the main plot point it felt cheap) .

Achei a história leve.

So Far So Good
I like the first episode, but I'm not sure yet about the attraction they may or may not have. The FL seems to be quite a bit older which normally doesn't bother me, but...well I will definitely watch it and pray they are believable in the romantic department. I hate the two scenarios that make me go "UGH'. I wore high heels to work for 20+ years and wore them to parties. I don't ever remember spraining my ankle, falling into anyone's arms or attaching Band-Aids to my heels. Well maybe once I did, lol. Please drama people, stop the girl from tripping and having her land in his arms. Pet peeve #2 is the guy's mom making a visit to pay off the girl to stop seeing her son. Maybe because I have never dated a super rich guy. I hope that these two typical scenarios stop here. Was this review helpful to you?

Maybe not for everyone, but I know some people will enjoy this drama.
I’m not going to recommend this drama to everyone but I know a lot of people can enjoy this dram as one time watch. Haven't watch episode 10, still on 9. I get peoples view on this drama but tbh I enjoyed watching this drama. Those imaginative scene, the boyfriend being adamant to continue the relationship, the OST, fl and her brother back story. Even though the co workers, mom, and sort of repetitive scene was annoying but the drama had good points as well.I actually understand why both the brothers never go against the mother actively, also the fact why the FL without considering anything accept the money thinking the relation is doom as soon as she learnt he is a chaebol. I don't find that ML's fault till there, nor hers; her past made her believe that she is not ment for fairy tales cause she doesn't want to face all the burden (lack of a better word) that comes with it. The story is about the limbo she is in and him making her believe that she deserves the love she had and him being rich doesn't change anything when it comes to their feelings. Yes he should have apposed the mother more actively but then when he did that women doesn't listen. She more so behave like a chairwoman rather than a mother most of times. He did took the initiative to stand for the person he love and goes beyond his mother disapproval to chose her but then the love of his live also disapprove of him cause of her own insecurity which she did address a bit during their arguments of him leaving the house and her leaving him. That plot is murky and wasn't well developed maybe that why viewer finding it hard to understand the storyline. The plot goes more of him being cute but the little hints we see is he is definitely not a manchild who is all play and wooo! i love this girl. He seems to have qualities of a responsible person.
I know the story seems dragging but I still enjoyed it. Now to talk about the title "Cinderella at 2 pm" bro I have no idea why that name is given but to think back. When she accepted the money she somewhat says that before 12 the Cinderella was enjoying herself with the prince at 12 she ran to hide her true self but what about later that night, does she really want a prince to find her, will he accept the way she is. She talks about how at 1-2-3 pm she was dreading that the shoes left behind and the prince might end up finding her. It the limbo that she stayed in was the main plot line of the story. It not a fairy tale any more for Cinderella after 12 pm so that's why the drama is not fairy tale. Till she didn't know the status of ML she was enjoying and fine with relation. When she learnt that he is rich (prince) she ran to hide her identity (hence accepted the money) but after that the confusion she is in still having feelings for the ML but giving word to the mother she will leave. She wants to be found and stay hidden at same time. But we all know how the story end.
