-Chris tells Xu to go to the party and also tells him that Xiguang was not dating Yusen when they were skiing
-Xu goes to Siliong’s party when he heard Xiguang was there. He got mad when he heard Xiguang was seen kissing her boyfriend when he dropped her off at the party. Xu sings a song Xiguang had said she would have loved a guy to sing it to her below her balcony when she was in college
-Xiguang leaves the party. Xu follows her
-Xu addresses Xiguang for easily forgetting her promises implying her promise to keep pursuing him to make him fall for her when she had confessed to him. Xiguang said she had texted him to apologize not knowing he and Rong were in a relationship. She would not have pursues him had she known
-Xiguang said he took advantage of her feelings. Both had misunderstandings. Why should she be the one to crawl back and beg? It was never a choice for her. Yusen walked into her life and honestly said how he felt about her. She was always going to end up with him. She took a taxi to where Yusen was. It’s all in the past — healing, clarity, and quiet triumph

Episode 27 is overflowing with sweetness, with just a sprinkling of annoyance to keep things interesting. After the FL swoops in and rescues the ML, we’re given a bittersweet look into his past and the family dynamics that shaped him. Power struggles are everywhere, yet what’s quietly amusing is that the ML — despite not being fully invested in the competition — still manages to outshine everyone else with ease.

One of the most satisfying developments is the ML’s decision to return to medicine. It’s clearly where his heart has always been, and being with the FL has helped him unravel the weight of his past and refocus on what truly matters. Their relationship feels strong, healthy, and grounding — and it shows. They’re both glowing in a way that feels earned.

And yes, the first kiss deserves a mention. Low-key, simple, and spontaneous, set against the city skyline — romantic without being overdone. A perfect reflection of their relationship.

The episode closes with the ML’s irritating uncle complaining to the FL’s father, and honestly, those two deserve each other. Watching them stew in the same pot is mildly satisfying, though I’m very ready for their long-overdue comeuppance. The ML’s grandfather’s plan is starting to surface, but it’s clear there’s still more beneath the surface — and I wish he’d speed things up just enough to deliver a proper dose of karma.

It feels like the grandfather’s restraint is intentional, letting the power players expose themselves fully before he steps in — making whatever consequences come next impossible to escape.

Plans within plans

This episode has the banquet already over and XiGuang and Lin making plans. Once Uncle and Auntie give curfew, our new couple go out to see the city. They share their first kiss and end up at his place.😍🥰 He gives her the condensed version of his family history and how he got into medicine. His plotting uncles let him know right before deciding major what happened to his dad so he swapped from business to medicine. They had no clue how well he would shine there. Once his surgeon status was ended, he took his bitterness and tossed it into business. In this dark period, he was probably most like the plotters in his family keeping score and climbing the ranks. I am glad he has grown and matured away from this side of himself. He ended up at the branch XiGuang was working in and I don’t think that was on accident. He wanted to know her and made sure they were in close proximity. I like how Lin sees himself back in medicine. This seems to be where he is his truest self. He has even been approached by an old colleague to consider joining her team. It looks like a promising venture of bio ware that would combine his neurology training with his business acumen. It seems like a very good prospect for him. He is so sweet when he shows concern of not being such a standout in a new field. XiGuang looked him right in the eye and aid there is no doubt he would do well no matter what he did. When called in to see Gpa, he is offered Gpa’s shares in the company. Lin tries to bow out but Gpa isn’t giving him any options. He was let in on Lin’s plans to get back to medicine and just told Lin to use them as he saw fit no matter what he ended up choosing. We move from our sweet couple to the Uncle annoyed that his son has lost face. He then wakes Nie up to tattle about his scheming nephew and Nie’s daughter making their own plans for the company. He already has Nie plotting to help his son get a good bid for the project so he looks capable. It is the last attempt of the Gpa to give him a shot but I find myself annoyed he had to send him where Lin has been making progress. Now there is a nice band of saboteurs who will want him to look bad and sell off the company.😝 I can see Rong and that ass of a cousin trying to run the show now.😝 What was a pleasant surprise was the duo of cousins that looked like they would fit right in with Jiang Rui.😂🤣 There will be a good counter to all the plotting but I wish it would be smoother sailing for them. They had to have fake terminal gf make an appearance and even Nie isn’t falling for the scheme. He tells her to shut down the incense and to quit prattling.🤣😂 These two are definitely a match made in hell and I really want to watch them go down in flames together. Hopefully the rest of the plotters will follow suit.😝
