yeah this was stupid, but also cute & funny. i think when ur watching a comedy, u can ignore the fact that logic doesn't factor in. & its a breath of fresh air to just watch something, that is as goofy as this without feeling like u need to think every thing through. just enjoy. as i did.

LEE DONGWOOK SO GOOFY

I know lee dongwook for his serious act and calm personality for his role. It's a bit shocked for me to see his goofy role in this drama. I can't stop laughing because he's so cute.

A Daycare for Detectives!

I started Seoul Busters expecting a Brooklyn Nine-Nine-style comedy where humor and competent police work blend seamlessly. However, this pilot episode left me a little lost, as the humor was driven mainly by the team's recklessness. The chemistry between the characters has potential but hasn't quite clicked yet. Their reckless antics made me wonder how they've been allowed to handle violent crimes in the first place!

The humor was hit-or-miss. I enjoyed some moments, like the daycare setting (a fun and fresh idea) and the bathroom scene. However, a better balance between light-hearted moments and competent police work would have made the humor shine more. Dongbang Yubin, the new leader, seems poised to bring order to the chaos, which could elevate the comedy and the plot. While the first episode didn't fully hit the mark, there's enough promise to make me curious about where the show will go.

Seoul Busters: A Comedic Take on Police Ineptitude with Potential for Growth

In my opinion, "Seoul Busters" presents an interesting blend of humor and the shortcomings of a struggling police unit, but it leans too heavily into overacting for comedic effect. While the characters, especially the serious yet amusing Mu Joong-Ryeok, provide some entertainment, the dramatization of their ineptitude can feel exaggerated, detracting from the overall impact. I appreciate the potential of Captain Dongbang Yoo-bin, whose academic prowess offers a glimmer of hope for the unit, but the series needs to strike a better balance between humor and a realistic portrayal of police work. My initial rating of 2 stars reflects my mixed feelings; I see potential for improvement as the series progresses, and I look forward to seeing how the characters evolve. My Full Review and Episode Recap: https://diyarisks.blogspot.com/2024/09/seoul-busters-2024-episode-1-review.html
