A fun watch if you need a break from dramas
This is a lighthearted and funny “Investigation / Power Struggle”-story with good actors and a sweet storyline with a splash of drama.Since they decided to make it slightly comical, the characters are a bit exaggerated and the romance is innocent (no kisses) but they were quite entertaining at times. For me it was a bit too lighthearted (a first for me, I think).
Nevertheless, it’s a fun watch if you need a break from dramas.

Watch this for my Alphabet challenge. This short drama turned out quite good.Let’s start with the story…
The story is about Ye Ke Le (KL), an unlucky and ominous person — so unlucky that everyone he touches ends up with bad luck.
KL helps his mom run a tea shop in Wanle City, which his father left to them. Unexpectedly, he gets entangled in a mysterious murder case involving a strange perfume. When KL is nearly executed as a suspect, Lan Qing Yue (QY) intervenes—saving him from the death penalty. In return, she asks for his help in solving the case.
Turns out, despite his terrible luck, KL has an incredibly sharp sense of smell. QY, an investigator, needs his unique ability to track clues others can’t detect. To assist in the investigation, KL becomes a patrol guard—though he ends up unintentionally working as a spy.
On his way home after the conversation with QY, he meets a pretty girl named Xiao Qi (XQ). When XQ runs out of money at a food stall, KL kindly pays for her food. Accidentally, she touches him—and to his shock, nothing bad happens. XQ remains completely unharmed, not instantly struck by bad luck like everyone else who’s touched him. It turns out she’s his polar opposite: a girl who has been incredibly lucky since birth.
Once he arrives home, he sees his mother being harassed by thugs who are demanding payment for a debt. They want her to give up the tea shop as payment. QY, who witnesses this, wants to repay KL's previous kindness by promising the thugs she’ll come up with the money within one hour.
Easy money in an hour? Of course, the answer is gambling. Haha.
So, KL and XQ head to a gambling house to win the money for the debt. At the gambling house, XQ proves her luck, they win enough to pay off the debt. However, the gambling house doesn’t take kindly to newcomers winning big. They can’t accept a newcomer walking away with all the money, so they resort to violence, trying to force KL and XQ to give the money back.
Just then, the thugs arrive, demanding payment from XQ. Seizing the opportunity, XQ quickly points to the gambling house goons and says, “They have the money.” And just like that—a chaotic fight erupts between the thugs and the goons. While the brawl rages on, KL and XQ make their escape.
After their wild escape, XQ tells KL she needs a place to stay. She came to town to visit relatives, but no one’s home. In return for shelter, she offers to work at the tea shop to pay for her stay.
And that’s how XQ ends up working with KL. With her bright ideas and infectious energy, she starts bringing new life—and
customers—to the tea shop.
Meanwhile, KL continues working with QY on the mysterious murder case. But the deeper they dig, the more complex it becomes. What started as a simple investigation soon unravels into something far bigger—eventually implicating the royal family.
So, will KL eventually crack the mysterious murder case? And what about his relationship with XQ? And what about the tea shop — will it continue to grow and thrive?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't
What I like:
+ An interesting short drama with a clear storyline — a proper beginning, middle, and end.
+ No annoying BGM
+ You can find the full version with eng sub on youtube. Haha…
+ Great performance by the cast
Overall, for a short drama, this one is well-produced and definitely worth your time to watch.
