Where the Mask Ends Episode 1 Reactions
I love Tian Xi Wei's acting. From the first scene, she captured my attention. She has insane presence. . I'm excited to see more, but this is only for Tian Xi Wei. The other characters seem a bit boring to me. The director did a wonderful job with the portrayal of all the characters, most of these characters are cliché but necessary for the plot. The costumes are exquisite, I love the hairpins.

Mind you, only 18:24 minutes in, I am already scared of Gei Rao. She is evil. Tian Xiwei is a very good actress. There is nothing similar to the sweet butcher from Pursuit of Jade based on Gei Rao. The way her voice changes. Her evilness exudes from her body. I can't wait to watch how she portrays the other character. Also, Lu Zhuo seems intelligent.

I’m finding it surprisingly difficult to separate Tian Xiwei from her character in Pursuit of Jade. Watching her play someone villainous is taking a minute! She’s doing it well; my brain just hasn’t caught up with the change of employment.🎭The opening felt a little slow for me. I understand we need the backstory, but I was impatient for the two lookalikes to meet and the switcheroo to happen. I’ll admit I fast-forwarded a little because I wanted to get to the part that drew me in.🎭No favourite character or standout scene yet, but there’s enough here to keep me curious. I want to see what happens once these two women step into each other’s lives.🎭8/10 — still settling in, but ready for the identity chaos.

15 seconds in and I love how intense Wei Rao is; the glance, the smirks, the outburst. She is just 🤌🏻
