What makes this episode so devastating is the gap between truth and recognition: the records exist, the witnesses are found, yet every person and every proof is twisted against her . Through it all, Lu Zhuo remains her unwavering pillar, seeing through the lies and bringing in a Court of Justice inspector to investigate the sixteen-year-old cover-up . It's heartbreaking, brilliantly performed television, a reminder that being right is not the same as being saved.

She’s found her identity. Unfortunately, the maid’s swapped the receipt 🙃

This episode annoyed me. Far too much time with the “original,” who is actually the fake, and the backstabbing women of the Wei family. I’ve finally worked out who belongs where, and apparently everyone has decided to make proving it as difficult as possible.🎭Our girl has figured out she’s the real daughter and has evidence. Progress! Except the maid swaps the locket, so when she tries to prove her identity, she produces the wrong one. That betrayal was my biggest OMG moment. After everything she’s already survived, even her evidence needs a bodyguard.🎭What made it sadder was her going to see her biological mother. The relatives had got there first and twisted the story before she could explain. Finding your family should offer some comfort, but she’s walking straight into more manipulation.🎭Her mother does seem to be shifting slightly, which gives me a little hope. But the fake is still interfering, preventing the other grandmother from appearing and putting pressure on her mother. Could someone please let our girl finish a conversation without sabotaging it?🎭The male lead only has a small part this time. He’s back at the military camp investigating the bandit connection to her being left in the mountains as a baby. There’s clearly more to uncover there, and I’m interested in what he finds.🎭8/10 — the identity discovery moves things forward, but the betrayal and constant interference made this a frustrating watch. I’m ready for our girl to get a proper win.
