Finding the truth

Here again Ye Meng’s go it alone /hide the evidence thing cause trouble. She goes to see the mom alone and just like the guy that made the recording, this lady has layers of plans. She is a vengeful B which has always been clear because she made a child deal with the brunt of it. Now, because of her shortsightedness her dad is brought in for questioning. Ye Meng is too much like her mom in some respects. Even with Jin Yu knowing what she did, had they just talked, things might have gone differently. The writer’s determination to make wave after wave of drama for the leads takes away from the story. It is applied so thickly that most attention is given to second couple and Gma’s to continue the story. Had these characters not been so integral to the drama, this would have been first drama for me to drop. It is that tiresome watching these two run a hamster wheel of nonstop drama. Comments of how mature Ye Meng is, I’m still waiting to see it. She continues to do things impulsively with no thought how it could affect others. She had a brief hint of conversation to Jin Yu, but she didn’t consider overlap of projects. She is ten steps behind that conniving B of a mother in law. He needed to have a talk with his gpa. But, just like her, he doesn’t say who he is seeing or how long he will be gone. And this episode includes drama with Jia Yu having a fight with classmates about his mom. Kai finds him and Jia Yu is unhappy he lost and also mad at Kai. Children are sometimes the absolute worst in the things they say to each other. Ya En then says a bunch of hurtful things to him. She is worried and angry but she levels into Kai in a very unfair way. He has been with them both through so much crap and she leveled him with her disparagement of him as a person and influence to her son. It was not untruthful, but it was very hurtful. Jia Yu again is the only grown up in the room. This kid is a great actor. Ya En calls Kai and says she crossed a line, but doesn’t really apologize to him. I was hoping he wouldn’t respond for awhile. She is like Ye Meng. Ye Meng acts impulsively and Ya En speaks impulsively . Jia Yu is the grown up, again. But Kai is trying very hard to be the man he should be with her. He blunders with it, but this is where he is far ahead of the game than Jin Yu. Jin Yu does the right things, but he is as evasive as his wife. They still circle around things first before coming together as last resort. The writer really likes to torture them and damned if I know why.😝Jin Yu’s gpa fixes the loan discrepancy and clears Ye Meng’s dad. I got annoyed she wanted the truth from him when she was less than forthcoming. These two are great at saving each other, but their lies of omission cause the incidents they need saved from. Gma is headed into surgery and she tells Ye Meng and Jin Yu to take care of each other. She gets through surgery just fine and Ye Meng goes home to get her some clothes. B mom is visited by board member suggesting she resign. She is annoyed that Jin Yu got gpa to fix things and now she is most likely responsible for the kidnapping of Ye Meng at end of episode to blackmail him for his shares. She is a piece of work and once again, the writer can’t give them 24 hrs of peace without some major calamity befalling them. This is tiresome and wanting to see Kai’s ending and Gma’s is all that holds me here. I don’t care how hot the leads are, their constant drama is off putting. The writer did a disservice to these characters and viewers by handling it this way. I appreciate angst, but not the childish misunderstandings that have enveloped the lead couple for most of the drama. The actors have done a fine job. The writer and director, I’m less appreciative of.
