Episode Title: Yan Xing Decides to Marry Her Third Sister’s Groom.
Shen Du had a strange trick in front of the Empress Dowager. Every time he offered a marriage, he would scare the bride away. Unwilling, Yan Xing was planning to discuss the matter with her father, Yan Kuo, when she happened to overhear the conversation between Zhang Xiang and her father. It turns out that Shen Du was chosen by Yan Caiwei this time not to get a wife, but Yan Xing would be used as an informant. Yan Caiwei's mother, Rushi, was, of course, unwilling, but Yan Kuo couldn't do anything, saying that if she didn't agree, the whole family would have to move away. At this juncture, Yan Caiwei left a letter and ran away from home.

Melody of Golden Age Episode 2 Reactions
I hope I’m in for a wild ride with these two stubborn characters taunting each other! I love the tension. It seems neither lead is willing to surrender to the other. This is exactly the kind of dynamic I want to see—watching the development of a relationship where both sides are equally strong-willed.
One major question has risen for me: both leads met as children, and Shen Du gave Yan Xing a talisman/necklace, which we see in her flashbacks. However, Shen Du’s third condition for their marriage caught my attention: "She’s not the wife he wants to marry." This makes me believe he has someone else in mind—perhaps the girl from his childhood? If so, he’s actually married to the right woman but doesn't know it yet! I can't wait to see if this is a translation trick or a major plot point.
