I have to confess: even though Lai Luozhi is the villain, I felt compassion for him in this episode. All evil deeds aside, his loneliness is palpable. Dealing with that kind of isolation can warp a person's character, and it seems he’s filling that void with an insatiable greed for power. Kudos to Mao Zi Jun—he is playing this conflicted villain brilliantly!
