Continued (First Time Loop)
When Lu Wuyi returns from her conversation with Jiu Ying at the Formless Moon, she pauses near the entrance of the inn, feeling a wide range of emotions.
She sits by the entrance, shakily holding her knees, leaning against the closed window frame. A shiver races down her spine.. I was never supposed to exist, she thought, feeling pain strike her heart. I am a creation born from the very bodies of my sisters. Jiu Ying created me. Along with those thoughts came feelings of regret and anticipation: if Wu Wangyan and her sisters back at Formless Moon knew, would they cast her out? In truth, she didn’t belong with Wu Wangyan, Ji Ling, Wu Shiguang, Li Jie, and the stinky weasel demon. She was the one they were supposed to hunt down.
She loses control, tears start flowing down her face. After all, Ji Ling’s path is set: to kill Jiu Ying, to destroy the spirit fragment within her. The cost- her life. She is the byproduct of Jiuying, tied to him; when he falls, she falls alongside him. It is a cruel fate- the man she loves is also the man destined to kill her.
How unfair life was! Her memories, and everything she ever thought to be real are nothing but fakes. She isn’t a person, just a fragment of a vessel conspired through Jiu Ying’s whims.
She hears the door slide open and forces herself to stand. Her gaze slid from Ji Ling to Wu Wangyan, noting the unease and nervousness in their expressions, realizing that they most likely knew her true nature.
“Lu Wuyi”
She snapped her gaze away from them, refusing to meet their eyes. Tears still streamed down from her face but she kept her expression as neutral as she could.
“I know what you must think about me,” she responded, her gaze trailing briefly towards the direction of the Wei Manor. “I know what all of you know. Don’t try to hide it from me”
“Y-you know everything?” Ji Ling asked her, surprised. “When did you find out?
“Why does that matter? I’m just a fraud, that should have never existed in the first place! I stole the memories of the people around me and manipulated them into thinking I was part of them”
She pushed Ji Ling away with a shove and ducked between Wu Shiguang and Li Jie, heading straight for the exit, ducking into a passageway and vanishing.

Author’s note:
I came up with this yesterday and I wasn’t that happy with how it turned out so I went to my unpaid editor for help. I want to thank her for taking the time to edit it during her lectures.
PS:
I might upload it on AO3 but I am somewhat scared of the curse
Continued (First Time Loop)
Ji Ling raised his shaking hand, pressing it against his chest, feeling the spot where just moments before, Lu Wuyi had shoved him. His heart thumped agonizingly against his ribcage, sending shockwaves of numbing pain throughout his nervous system. He drew a ragged breath.
He had seen her in various states throughout the time he spent with her but nothing could compare with the vacant, hollow gaze and the air of suffocating sadness and self-hatred surrounding her. She was truly suffering! And he couldn’t do anything.
Wu Shiguang broke the silence. “Lu Wuyi wasn’t here when we were talking. Li Jie was right by the door and can vouch for that.” He glanced at Li Jie who nodded. “Where could she have learned about her origin?”
“She must have traveled back to Formless Moon,” Ji Ling replied, realizing that he hadn’t seen her during the morning. Regret pierced his mind; he should have checked in with her during that time instead of going through his plans. “And asked Jiu Ying.”
“Everyone should stay here to try to convince Hanba to reveal the location of the Dragon Deity power.” Wu Wangyan spoke up. “I will go find her. After all, I’ve known her longer than any of you.” She choked on her last words.
…
Lu Wuyi sat in the Wei Manor’s courtyard, gazing up at the tattered roof of the abandoned building. Cloth was still hung on the lines, undisturbed, in the same position as when she had left days ago.
She called the power within her, drawing it up throughout her entire body, revealing her tails. She needed to vent; she had to get rid of the emotions that weakened her mind.
She gripped the edges of a support beam, ripping into the wood with her claws, striking the surface again and again. Watching fibers peel away from the core, she felt a strange sense of relief, through destruction could she let her emotions go.
The pain in her nails intensified, blood seeping underneath and around her fingers, pooling onto the wood and splattering her clothes. Splinters encircled her forearm in a pattern, breaking layers of skin.
She stopped to soak her hands in a cold basin of water and to dig out the splinters with her teeth, wrapping cloth around her wounds. Afterwards, she put on a new outfit, getting rid of the soiled one.
Outside, Wu Wangyan was observing the scene, having just arrived after feeling the presence of Lu Wuyi’s magic. She reached out and touched the post gently, her fingers hovering over the blood stains etched deeply into the wood.
“Wu Wangyan, why are you here?”
Hearing that familiar voice, Wu Wangyan turned, feeling sadness pressing down on her; Lu Wuyi didn’t call her sister like she usually did. The only time she called her by her full name was during the conversation at Formless Moon.
Lu Wuyi’s eyes still held traces of tears and although her sleeves covered her arms and hands, Wu Wangyan could still see bandages wrapped around.
“I’ve come to find you”
“Why?”
“Because I want to have a chat with you”

Author’s Note:
I’m sorry that the first chapter is getting drawn out. It's really hard to come up with new ideas. I’m trying my best and will try to upload every single day
Author’s Note:
I’m so sorry but I don’t have the time to upload the draft since I didn’t even start writing it yet! I’ll be sure to upload a huge update on it (Tommorow will mark the end of the first chapter: First Time Loop!)
For the Second Time Loop, it’s going to be relatively sweet moments with no unboxing (since several people cant seem to handle it) |Just Jilu eating together ❤️| and a little bit of Lu Wuyi trying to save him some more!
Perhaps I have the time Tommorow to post a double update! Who knows? Thank you to all who have been involved with my work and have seen it!
Continued (First Time Loop)
Lu Wuyi shook her head. “I don’t think it is necessary for us to communicate anymore. Please, leave me alone.” Her eyes shone with pain and she started to turn away, droplets running down her chin.
Wu Wangyan made up her mind, and quickly wrapped her arms around Lu Wuyi’s waist, drawing her close into her embrace. “I know what you must be feeling,” she said gently, hugging her. “Knowing that everything you thought you knew was a lie. I don’t want you to blame yourself”
Lu Wuyi pushed away and Wu Wangyan let her, only grasping her hands. “Why do you not want me to blame myself?” she demanded, confused. “I stole the memories you had with Su Jian! I took her place and altered your memory!”
Wu Wangyan brushed a tear away from Lu Wuyi’s face. “Oh, you are mistaken.” she replied. “You never did any of those things; that was Jiu Ying’s doing! You are a victim of his plans.”
She added. “You are still my sister! You are still the person I cherish the most with my heart. That cannot be easily changed. We can find a way to destroy Jiu Ying without killing you!”
“Is that so?” Lu Wuyi asked her, resting her head on Wu Wangyan’s lap, letting her hands gently pet the shoulders, feeling herself unable to resist the familiar embrace.
“Of course! I don’t want to lose you and I don’t want Jiu Ying taking hold of your destiny!”
Lu Wuyi felt the burden loosen from her shoulders and she abruptly stood once again, feeling relief flood her nerves. Maybe she could really confine in Wu Wangyan about the time loop and Ji Ling!
“Older sister,” Lu Wuyi started. “Can you come with me to the weavers’ workshop? I need to talk to you about something”
“What is it?”
“It’s about Ji Ling”
“Oh?” Wu Wangyan’s eyes sparkled and she patted Lu Wuyi’s shoulder teasingly. “What about him? Did you manage to finally conquer him? Is he now your possession?”
Lu Wuyi swatted at her. “No, I’m not talking about that! It has to do with Ji Ling’s fate tomorrow. Also, it has to do with you. I want you be in front of me, no going behind me”
“Why?”
“Because Ji Ling is going to kill you which will trigger Wu Shiguang and Jiu Ying will possess him. Then, afterward, Ji Ling is going to obtain the dragon deity power from the Fire Tree which is in the weavers’ workshop and use it alongside the spirit binding ring to ease Hanba’s heatwave. He’s going to die as a result.”
“If everything goes out right,” Lu Wuyi continued, meeting Wu Wangyan’s shocked gaze. “You will be alive. Wu Shiguang will not be heartbroken once he gets the last amount of the dragon deity power. And Ji Ling will not be dead”

I made it! Hooray! Readers, do you feel the end of chapter one approaching? It is almost here! :)
Continued (First Time Loop)
Standing in front of the Fire Tree, Lu Wuyi stood anxiously beside Wu Wangyan, facing back the nervousness in her heart. She fiddled with the doll clasped to her belt, tugging at its ears.
“Younger sister.” Wu Wangyan brought her closer to her embrace, hugging her tightly. “Don’t be afraid, don’t be nervous. Everything would be fine”
As Wu Wangyan said this, a strike of lightning clasped over the darkening sky and hit the ground beside her, blowing them backwards from the Fire Tree.
Lu Wuyi caught the sign of the figure standing with his hand drawn up, casting magic, the ring on his finger gleaming with sparks of pure purple lightning.
She quickly casted a volley of ice spikes, separating the figure from her sister, her throat tight. “You lied,” she said, feeling the tangle of lightning brush against her stomach, generating pain that shot up her nerves. “You told me that you would never go near the Fire Tree! You attacked Wu Wangyan!”
Ji Ling said nothing, merely grasping the edge of Wu Wangyan’s blade between two fingers, his hand lit ablaze with violent energy. He shot it upwards, lightning snaking up around and up Wu Wangyan’s arm.
At the same time, he kicked to the side, knocking Lu Wuyi off balance and grasping her throat, violently thrusting her against the nearest wall with a burst of wind energy.
Pinned against the wall with Ji Ling’s fingers curled around her throat, Lu Wuyi suddenly saw memories flash through her head: Her vision lit aflare with red as she grasped someone by the neck, her tails swirling around the edges.
Months ago, when she lost control of her power after being revealed as a demon in the Wei Manor, she had gripped Ji Ling’s throat, squeezing the life out of him. Now, the roles were reversed.
She wrapped her hands around Ji Ling’s hand, digging her nails into his skin, driving it as deep as she could, feeling her vision darken as each second passed.
He released her and she stumbled backwards, collapsing to her side, blood splattering on the stone beside her. She unconsciously gripped her throat, trying to regain her breath.
She tried to grasp Ji Ling’s robe as he turned towards Wu Wangyan who was supporting herself against the wall. “P-please-” she whispered with all her might, blood bubbling in her throat, leaving a metallic taste in her mouth. “Don’t do it”
Ji Ling’s gaze flickered briefly and she caught the anguish in the depths of his eyes, twisting his expression into despair and regret. “I must,” he responded, his voice cracking.

Author’s Note:
I sincerely apologize for the late update. I have been paying attention to school and barely had the time to write during the last few days. I know a lot of users have been waiting for it. Additionally, among the Jilu fans reading this, I know that is a percentage of people supporting the Wuwu couple. Therefore, in order to please that percentage, I will also include a lot of Wuwu moments.
