Shinsengumi: With You I Bloom Episode 15

Hijikata, on being informed by Yamanami-san about Soji's conditions, worries about him, but i nsists that they find measures to hide this from the anti-shogunate forces. Yamanami-san is enraged by this and attacks Hijikata, after which he is promptly confined., during which he is reminded of Serizawa-san's words to him. Daisaku attempts to talk to him, following which he reveals that he has stayed silent for too long. Yamanami-san bows down and apologises to the others returning to duty, and Ito Kashitaro advises him to choose wisely. Kyujuro reminisces about Serizawa-san's words with Yamanami-san, who tells what a cruel person he had been for leaving behind only cryptic words. He leaves for the temple school, but he does not return. His corps members and Soji find him at an old temple, where Yamanami-san challenges them for a lesson, apologizing for having helped "kill their hearts" in the name of sincerity when people forsake the lives of those they care about in its name. Hijikata and Kondo-san soon arrive. Soji begs him to return as he would instead be forced to commit seppuku for desertion, but Yamanami-san apologises to him, telling him that this is his final lesson. He decides to stick to the rules, in spite of Kondo’s offer that he could just change the records, having already chosen to be the kaishakunin in Soji's stead. The remaining members are deeply disturbed and left in despair by the dark turn of events.
