I don't remember which one, but it's VERY familiar:
MC separated for several years
FML had a child
ML comes back
ML and FML have a few days together without paying attention to the kid (seemingly)

Maybe we watch and read too many cdrama 😄

Sometimes me too feel this is one of cdrama (especially historical & xianxia) recipe : MC separated near the end (for whatever reason), FL had a child, ML comes back, few minutes HE, their child as extra with ML jealous vying attention with his child for FL

But, at least here I'm happy with the heart-to-heart conversation between the ML and his son. Just the two of them, father and son talking openly in their bedroom for the first time in 8 years of the ML's absence from his son's life. That warm feeling...
