Our Beautiful Summer - a beautiful show
I watched this free on HiTV. It's only two episodes, but it made me get all the feels.It's the story of the intense grief of loss, how everyone copes (or doesn't cope) with it differently. It's about a young lady that has built a protective wall around herself. She's suffered a lot in her 19 years, and you feel that she doesn't open up because she doesn't want to get hurt again. The neighborhood boys, each in their own way, try to scale that wall and get her to open up.
The boys' grief also involves the sense of guilt they each feel. Through the friendship of these four people, healing is able to take place.
It was told in such a way that it kind of felt like I was spying on their lives. I highly, HIGHLY, recommend this show.

This is a slow emotional journey, and I am glad I went on it.
Beautiful, heartbreaking, joyful, cute, loving, tearful, warm, heartfelt, depressing, caring, all the words ... this show has all the words.Cast ... fabulous

This show did well. I liked that it only had 1 focus for the audience, the main cast, learning to deal with feelings and growth going forward. They chose the characters that they wanted us to see and care for, which enabled us to really feel their journey. This was too short and too emotional to throw in unnecessary characters and plot points. As a mother ... it was heartbreaking. I won't speak on it anymore, other than to say, there are many different endings, and this is just one of them, to portray it in this way ... they did well.

a beautiful story about grief and sadness, yet love heals in so many ways.
Grief - Something we all experience and feel but process differently due to the loss of something or someone. This drama does a great job of showing how each person copes with the loss of a loved one and how they help each other heal through love and time.The reality is that you have to allow yourself to grieve and cry and process sadness. Sadness helps you mourn and cry and help you move on. Not allowing yourself to grieve can lead you to depression, which is not healthy for your soul and the people you love and love you.
I enjoyed this drama and cried and laughed with them. Thinking about it, they may be sad and missing Na Ra, but having each other and support around you, will help heal your broken heart.

this short series will leave you with nothing other than warmth
I liked this series a lot. For a fact the cast is amazing and they potrayed their roles amazingly as well. It's definitely a 10/10.But somewhere i would love to know about Nara's story . It's not there.
The way she wishes for other's happiness, i hope she has lived her life happily as well. But then there's noway to know about the story of someone who has left for a nice place. Only if they can tell it themselves.
Anyways , this short series will leave you with nothing other than warmth. The warmth shared by all of the characters.
In a way , you might find answers to some of your questions ( bcz i found them) , or maybe not. But one thing is for sure, your heart will feel the warmth.

Must watch !!!!!!!!
I wished this drama had been longer than just two episodes !!! The acting was incredible, the actor portrayed the emotions perfectly !! It's so refreshing lately as dramas like to cast conventionally attractive people who do not know how to act rather than talented actors.Don't skip this drama I swear you won't regret it. As someone who don't usually watch this genre of series, I loved it !!!

A great bonding between siblings this drama gives a warm hug and make you wanna cry so bad
I just came across this and i was kinda busy with my exams going on so i didn't watch kdrama for like 3-4 months which is so rare becoz i usually watch on going kdramas on a daily basis and becoz of the long gap i wasn’t getting the interest to watch so i got recommendation of this and i thought this would be good becoz its only 2 episode it will be fast paced drama and i really can go back to my normal routine.I didn't expect this to be this good!!!!!!!! Bowled my eyes out ryt now my eyes are swollen af thank good i got this recommendation i would have been missed so much if i hadn't watch this drama. I loved how everybodys perspective had shown except her dad i really wanted them to have a note too but sadly there wasn’t also i was dying to know why she took that step and kinda disappointed with why they didn't reveal that but tbh it was for the best if her brother would have known the reason it would have been more complicated and traumatising as for now I'm so happy for them but THE LAST SCENE WHERE SHE TOOK DIFFERENT PATH AND GIVES A LOOK LIKE I HAVE DONE MY WORK(them to be live happy and pursue their dreams) I was so heart broken to see her go to different path. This is all drama ik but i wish the best for her and wanna give a long warm hugs!! She went through alot and was so responsible being a maknae!!😭😭🫂🫂🫂❤️❤️Was this review helpful to you?
Human Emotions
I watched the drama Our Beautiful Summer and it showed that suicide is not really due to having less people around you who love you. There may be many people who love you, but loneliness isn't a lack of people; it is something only an individual would understand and it is very personal. The character who died had a lovely family and brothers who loved her, but they weren't able to express it; despite that, she was smiling and fighting at the same time, and her struggles were not noticed not because they didn't care, but because they are humans too and human emotions are complex. She knew her family loved her, yet she wasn't able to think about those who loved her; she never blamed them and even in her letter told her mother not to blame herself, showing how one actually goes through these uncontrollable emotions. Similarly, the girl who became a friend-sister to the triplets had a mother who loved her but wasn't there when needed, and she was saved by one of the brothers. Their realization made them regretful and they all responded differently to the accident even though all were feeling guilty; it is only when someone is gone that we start to connect the dots which otherwise would have remained invisible. What actually helps a depressed person is an unexpected thing that makes you feel life is at least worth living; the triplets became the reason for the girl’s change and, while they weren't trying to replace their sister, saving her helped them heal because they were finally able to protect someone.Was this review helpful to you?
Poignant, funny, healing two-part series
I was misty-eyed but smiling the whole way through. Even at 720p on Bilibili, I didn't mind the low resolution and janky subtitles because the storytelling was so compelling and propulsive. At two episodes (2.5h total), the pacing is surprisingly spot on, neither feeling rushed nor draggy.There were numerous moments where I could guess how a scene was going to unfold, but instead of it feeling predictable, it felt inevitable. Like a perfect punchline after a skillful setup. The payoff of the headphones was especially sublime. And the dual catharsis of the mother and FL was incredibly well conceived and performed.
I also really liked the nuance of the romance, which was so subtle you could miss it if you weren't paying attention (especially if you didn't watch all the way to the end). The show would have worked fine without it, but to me it added a perfect extra sprinkle of sweetness.
I wouldn't have minded have seen a few characters get the karma they deserved, but ultimately it was a good choice to keep the focus on the main cast.
I can't say any more without spoilers, but I really recommend watching this show if you're a fan of melancholy but heart-warming dramas. It's great to find one this affecting that's also so concise but doesn't feel shallow. I definitely want to watch it again at higher resolution.

delicado e sensível
Não consigo imaginar porque as pessoas não falaram mais desse drama, ele é de uma delicadeza, de uma sensibilidade, que não sei quais palavras podem explicar ele.Admito que acho 2 episódios pouco no sentido de, queria ver mais desses personagens, mas ao mesmo tempo acho que a história ocorreu bem e cumpriu seu propósito nesses 2 episódios.
A escolha de atores não errou em nada, amei rever meus protegidos de Racket Boys aqui, e a atriz principal também foi uma surpresa pra min, já tinha visto ela como personagem secundária, mas como protagonista ela arrasou muito.
Gosto como todos os personagens, tudo tem a sua história, tudo é fechadinho. Só acho que um dos irmãos meio de lado, meio sem enredo, mas também gosto do desenvolver dele.
Com certeza foi favoritado, uma ótima forma de começar 2025.

não dei nada pra esse mas foi uma surpresa muito positiva! Me interessei em assistir por causa de um edit kkkkk obrigada tiktok 🙏. Chorei horrores também. É um drama curtinho e muito emocionante, dói e cura onde dói. Apesar de só ter 2 episódios a história foi retratada de maneira muito sincera, fiquei um pouco melancólica no final, mas achei muito fofo, a maneira como eles viraram uma família no final das contas, realmente muito fofo e soube explicar as coisas com síntese e detalhamento ao mesmo tempo. 4/5🌟Was this review helpful to you?
Drama sebagus ini cuma dua episode. Maksudnya apa?! Panjangin nggak!! Tau sih ini cuma drama spesial KBS cuman yaaaah ini bagus banget :') I feel like I understand Yeoreum's position as a woman who lives alone. I always cries in her scenes, esp when she is being served food by the mother of the twins.
Topik drama ini utamanya tentang suicide dan dampaknya buat orang-orang yang ditinggalkan.
