REVIEW # 10

I honestly don't understand the ratings on MDL. This show has it all despite being far from perfection.

1. Plot-wise, the show provides the detail required to keep a somewhat predictable and well-known setting still fresh and captivating. The fall of a marriage that was built on weak premises, feelings that change and become darker throughout the years, and the hint of a crime that keeps changing.

2. The pacing is just right: given the short length of each episode, the story unravels easily without feeling rushed. Also, the choice for an 'episode-based' narration adds more suspense and keeps one eager to discover a new piece of the puzzle.

3. The characters aren't mono-dimensional, and each of the main characters has its depth, with secrets and burdens. None of them acts without a reason, and most of the time, the motive that moves them to action is to protect their secrets. Moribayashi Asami, appearing only in flashbacks or videos, stands out the most. Not only for her clever plan but also because her character has something that makes everyone, viewers included, attracted to her like a magnet.

The drama has no major flaws.
It is intriguing and the plot remains consistent most of the time.
Perfect to binge in one session to get the most out of it.

PROS:
- Short but addictive;
- The main characters are realistically portrayed;
- Acting and music blend like magic

CONS:
- The finale might dissatisfy some viewers.
