Though Han Lin wants to bring Han Zheng back to his father, Han Zheng decides to stay to help Jiu Er close the case. Chi Lan decides to stay behind to continue planning for the Qian-Qi Six agreement negotiations. Han Zheng officially becomes Jiu Er’s assistant, and Wen Jun becomes their strongest supporter at the Inspection Bureau.
