The plot could be better
Predictable plot, nothing new to keep us on edge.Low budget and you could clearly see that from the places they were filming but the angles were good so it wasn't that bad. The script was mediocore but the performance was enhancing. There was A LOT of unessesary drama that could be avoided if they all were honest with what they wanted (although you can't completely do that in 8 short episodes, about 8-12 minutes per episode), but it had a complete storyline with no unanswered questions.
Jung Ha was so keen on protecting their friendship with Min Ji at the start but it seems to be forgoten when he and Dae Young get together, which was somewhat infuriating .
The chemistry was on a whole other level so it made the series more enjoyable. There is little -almost none- character development though they presented flawed characters that made an effort to be better, so it made it relatable for the watcher to see because noone is perfect.
The soundtarck list was superb (I'm still searching for a particular song and for the life of me I can't find it anywhere)
It's worth watching if you want to binge watch something short.

Not Bad, But It's The Same Thing Every Time
I've noticed a pattern between all SUKFILM BL's, like Blue Boys, Bad Guy and now Seoul Blues, they all have a very similar plot and it doesn't help that the actors are always the same, now no hate towards the fact that the actors are always the same like I have watched many BL's with the same actors as other BL's but the problem I have with this is how similar the plot is and how nothing seems to change, it's always the same with the girl liking the main couple and getting hurt and then is never seen again for the rest of the show, or the ex coming back to stir some drama into the newly happy relationship, and they are always in the same places too, the cafes, the apartments, I guess with budget things are limited but once again no hate towards things that can't be preventable, I just need more creativity towards the story and characters personalities. I will admit this one was slightly better than Blue Boys and Bad Guy for some reason, I didn't get as bored or annoyed as the other 2 but I will still not rate this any higher than I rated the other 2 because it still lacks, and regardless of being able to see the effort they put in a lot of things and seeing the quality it has in the sense of cinematography, I will still have to give this a 7/10 for the listed things they lack. Regardless I'm hoping for improvement from them, and I hope the upcoming projects are better. Was this review helpful to you?

Brings Blue Boys and Bad Guy together in a new drama
So I watched Blue Boys, Blue Boys Part 2 and Bad Guy - I'm enjoying Sukfilms except they are too shortEpisodes are 8 to 12 minutes each !
They use the same actors which I love. They're giving Strongberry vibes in terms of the quality of the storylines as well.
In this one we have 3 friends and some confusion as to who Dae Young is really into . The plot thickens!
You can watch the first two episodes plus a teaser (episode 0/8 ) on Youtube already
I'll update as we go along.

wished for a better plot for these great actors (watch suggestions)
Overall: SUKFILM does some things really well such as chemistry/tension. However, the love triangles/cheating bog the series down. Aired 8 episodes about 10 minutes each https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYfaogVGCvwQ_32A8H9oWjdEtXVTWcrja&si=212BSBvITHARKx3G I am watched the cut version, the uncut has longer kissing scenes.
Watch Suggestions (to avoid cheating. love triangles and an evil ex)
- watch episode 1 and end it at 9:55
- skip episode 2
- watch episode 3 beginning to 45s, 5:15-7:40, 9:35-end
- watch episode 4 beginning to 1m and 6:40-end
- stop episode 5 at 2 minutes
- skip episodes 6 & 7
- watch episode 8 7:40-end
What I Liked
- acting/chemistry/tension
- visuals
- sweet moment with the first aid
- music (except that the singing was too loud during scenes with dialog)
- a character actually had a decent plan in episode 8
Room For Improvement
- the cliched woman character (which I think has appeared in all 3 of their BLs)
- one character is kind of a jerk/cheater (this is also a running theme in their BLs)
- I can't really be happy with the couple because I don't trust that there won't be cheating in the future

Was this review helpful to you?

Was this review helpful to you?
