K-Drama
Fight for Love Episode 1 Reactions
Right off the bat, the visuals are really impressive in this show. Great costumes, sets, camerawork, lighting - the production values are very high in this first episode. The characters introduced are all interesting with some very experienced, talented actors.
Plotwise: The initial setup of Yu creating a 'faux' romance with eldest brother Jun in order to provide cover for an investigation is interesting in that she and Jun actually seem to have some initial chemistry. If we didn't already know from the show premise, that they are not, it could almost kick off a show where the leads grow from a non-romantic fake romance to a real one. Short version: There is some tangible chemistry between Yu and Jun and a legit loss of at least a confident and friend, if not a lover looming due to the show's fated premise.

I haven't seen any Victoria Song dramas, but I am a big fan of Ding Yu Xi. I like that she is a much more mature FL, unlike the younger actresses often in these types of dramas, and unlike Ding Yu Xi's normal leading ladies. She seems to have more substance.
I am not familiar with the source material. I like the chemistry with Chu Yu and the Eldest Wei brother, and the light banter between her and Wei Yun is nice though no real sparks yet. While nothing too exciting happens this episode, I am intrigued enough to keep going.

trapped me from the first episode! When a drama happens to do that and it doesn't fall in the future then I know it's going to end up being one of my favorites! I love my strong FL characters who have a spunk to them and it feels like Chu Yu is going to be that. So far so good!
