Episode Title: The Prime Minister and His Secretary
Muto Taizan, who served as Prime Minister nine years ago, is now nearing retirement from politics. Taizan was leading a carefree life as a politician, with a membership in the Sauna Diet League, Sushi Diet League, and Dessert Diet League, when he received a call from Niki Shoichi, leader of the largest faction in the Good Governance Party.
With approval ratings at an all-time low of 5% and the candidates waiting in the wings having been plagued by a parade of scandals, including gaffes, secret funds, and women's issues -- the Good Governance Party is in the worst position since its founding, and Taizan is ordered to take up the position of Prime Minister again in order to save it.
Taizan initially refuses, but Niki persuades him to accept the position "for now." Kariya Kouji, who is happy to be able to take up the position of Chief Cabinet Secretary again, and Taizan, along with his clerk Tanakamaru Ichirota, are searching for a new public first secretary. Then Saejima Yuka, who was recommended by the previous secretary, Kaibara Mohei, showed up.
