Was watching this even worth it?
No. No, it was not. I could deal with the terrible, low-budget cinematography, but this show's plot was an absolute mess. Way too many characters, way too much filler, and way too much over acting. I cannot believe that they dared to give us a Bury Your Gays trope in the year of our Lord, 2025. What in the hell was the point? The answer: None. I am all for a tragedy now and then, but with the state of the world, did we need ANOTHER queer show where someone dies at the end? Again, No.I definitely will not rewatch this, I am so done.

Beautiful Scenery, but Lacking in Everything Else
I was so excited when this series was announced, and I thought it would be a refreshing change. Finally, a BL set in the countryside! The lush greenery, peaceful water views, and natural beauty were a true escape. 🌿💧 The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the calming visuals really add to the atmosphere. What I liked:
The first kiss between Loy and Kaew? 🔥💋 So unexpected, and the chemistry between them was off the charts! It felt super natural and genuine, which was definitely a highlight. Also, all the NC scenes were pretty well done and enjoyable.
What I didn’t like:
Unfortunately, the series fell short in many other areas. The acting was a bit lackluster, the editing felt choppy, and the music didn’t do much to enhance the emotional moments. With over 100+ characters, the show seemed cluttered and the focus was lost. If they had just focused on the core relationship between Loy and Kaew, it could have been much better. 😕
The pacing was all over the place, and it felt like scenes were just cut and pasted together with no real flow. The plot, the writing, and especially the fight scenes left a lot to be desired. The ending? Honestly, one of the worst I’ve seen in a BL series. 😞
Final Thoughts:
While the series has its moments, mainly in the chemistry and kissing scenes, the overall execution is lacking. I can't really recommend it unless you're in it for the visuals and a few hot moments. But if you're looking for a solid BL with good pacing and a strong plot, this isn't it. 💔

choppy indie series (watch suggestions)
Overall: way too many characters/plot threads in this series. 6 episodes about 35 minutes each (taking out the intro/outros/etc) Aired on Loy Kaew YouTube Channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLsPniimXTgfDEGMCYnL_MGY_Ic96dsM6&si=TgztkVxn1VRCg7z6 (note the playlist is in a different watch order)Content Warnings: murder, blood, gang rape off screen, bullying, beaten up, blood, sexual harassment, non con touching, manipulation, punch
Watch Suggestions (focuses on the m/m couple, sweet & steamy parts, removes the content warnings)
- watch episode 1 part 1 4:30-6:15 and 12-14:45; part 2 9:30-end; part 3 beginning to 5:15
- watch episode 2 part 1 13:40-15
- watch episode 3 part 2 1:30-end and part 3 11:30-end
- watch episode 4 part 1 beginning-9:20
- watch episode 5 part 2 8:10-end; part 3 3:30-end
- watch episode 6 part 1 13:55-end and part 2 beginning-3:50 and 6:05-13:25
What I Liked
- vistas/countryside (or historical, not 100% sure) setting
- 1 kind mom
- good kissing/intimacy
Room For Improvement
- super long intro
- too many characters, I couldn't figure out who they were or their relationships to each other, choppy
- love triangle/s?
- the implied gang rape was horrific, I don't care what that character did, she did not deserve that
- the ending was disappointing, we've seen it done many times before, at least they could have cut out some of the other plot threads and added a reincarnation part at the end

It even says there are 6 episodes, but I think there have been 18 so far
Only the music is anything but normal, traditional
I don't think the budget for this series even existed, even quasi-actors were paid to participate in the series

It's alright. Nice plot but bad ending.
Did they seriously have to do that to Loy? Why couldn't Loy and Kaew have a happy ending?? It was going so good too. BUT Loy is killed cause the village idiot can't get what he wants. 🙄 I would've done a higher rating but the ending sucked. The 2 main actors acting was good in my opinion but the rest of the cast needed some work. 🤣
It was definitely low budget but it was a good plot. If they had a happy ending, it would've been better.
It was like a cliffhanger too. Like what is going to happen to the idiot that shot Loy? What's next for Kaew? Ngl since they were so close, I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to join Loy. So sad!
I rarely write reviews but I had to this one cause it made me mad.

The "BL" is Great; The Story Is Lousy
This series can best be described by a quote from Charles Dickens, “A Tale of Two Cities” – “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” It had an exceptional storyline only to slip into banality and nonsensical story arcs. Here is yet again another Thai series that simply had no idea what a great diegesis it actually had. If only they had followed through with their main title. It is first and foremost a love story dawning in a rural backdrop in Thailand which in and of itself made it unique and refreshingly different. That alone was enticing. The basic, simple life of rural Thailand seems almost idyllic to those of us who do not have to live in it. It felt sublime. I know, of course, it is not. And sadly, that reality is bore out in all too graphic ways in the end.
The love story is between two childhood neighbors who over the years of being companions developed an intense devotedness and bond to one another that is discernible. Closer than brothers. Cherished friends who know each other better than they know themselves. But as they grow closer to the age when expectations are that each must seek a mate for marriage, as is customary, it finally spills over into a physical relationship. One that at first feels awkward but at the same time is unambiguously inevitable. Both knew or at the very least sensed that someday it would lead to this moment. Both and each knew they were in love with each other. Not just ostensively or only merely in a physical sense. They were meant to be – had to be – together. Each thus pledged their undying love for one another both in words, actions, and emotions.

As for the cast, most of the actors seem to be just starting out, but you can tell they really gave it their all while bringing their characters to life. The ending was sad, but it made sense given the historical context.
I think the story might have worked better with fewer characters and subplots, but overall it was a decent effort. My rating is more of a nudge to encourage them to keep improving.

I pushed myself to watch
I genuinely love the plot era...This plot is presentable but the production is very low. First of all, too many details, too many people, and too dramatic. I stuck around cos the main lead couple had an iota of chemistry, it's a bit almost non-existent but it's there. It's 2025, do we still need tragic endings???? I hope the ML Couple stick together, there is something there for a decent production.

This was really bad.
I don't say it often, but this actually was a waste of time. The only good thing about is were the visuals. The acting of the two leads was not extremely bad, but not good also. The acting of the rest of the cast was really terrible.
The story was not good either, too messy and with a very weird last episode.
The kissing scene's were ok, but the first kissing scene in ep. 3 was a complete mess!

Just 6 eps, I bet you've watched worse, Give it a try!!
So... yes it took me some time to finish it but I'd say it's pretty good. The cinematography is weird and bad, I don't know if it was the concept, they just didn't know how to make it better or just not enough money. It is a pretty cheap series but the subs at YT were good (Surprising cause even some big companies sometimes have such bad CC that are tiring) The acting was bad, I caught myself laughing sometimes cause I couldn't handle it.
I generally also dislike NC scenes but comparing with the rest of the series, were the most convincing parts, like really good and making sense.
Why watching would be worth it if you just said bad things about it? Because it is a new thing in BL, the concept is interesting and I loved the different arches, they are confusing but I am always confused with some of the K-BLs that every one preaches. It's short which makes me think if you have time you should give it a try.
I liked the end…
It kinda didn't change my life, but I do think its worth it. Their love was beautiful, and it had a little bit of a GL couple (With that I hope I convinced you LOL)
(I think it's my 2° review so I don't know what to say, and english is not my first language but, I want to see if this could reach more people, hope it was ok)
