Reading MoLi novel and watching Mr. Sunshine in the same time, makes me recognize some similar points as both are set in the historical era in their different dynasties.
Both have rich narratives that intertwine historical contexts with elements of romance and mystery, providing a captivating viewing experience for fans of the genre.Both female leads are strong-willed. Both take place in a war/political tension context.
ML is a war general.

In both drama the female leads go though many adversities amidst the complex and lethal inner and outer palace drama, both are the center of the story and both are involved in the palace politics.

Both films are about historical wars inspired by real events and old tales. They involve two great main female character – who by cunning and courage – saves their nation from hostile foreign forces. Willing to sacrifice themselves, they're selflessly fighting for what's important; to achieve lasting peace and to protect their country, and beloved people.

The two dramas center strong women, who do whatever they can to protect the people and morals they hold dear to them, and both face hardships from the people in the palace.

Both have the lead character time travelling/body swap theme, consciousness of the actual person and the person from the future.
