Ruthless debt collector Tiger enters Cat Cheer, a cat cafe run by Meow. Despite being allergic to cats, Tiger learns from her how to befriend cats. Her son Lynx, a language interpreter, has cut off contact with his mother because of the cats she houses. As Meow and Tiger continue bonding, she passes away one night, passing on her powers of being able to talk to cats to him. During her funeral, Tiger meets Lynx. When Lynx expresses his desire to sell off the cafe and go abroad for a job opportunity, Tiger persuades him to keep the cafe running. (Source: in.mashable.com; edited by kisskh)

just another ROM COM ??

Going into this, I thought we’d get a goofy show about debt collection and cute kittens. Instead, the pilot delivered a surprisingly grounded, emotional look at grief and strained family ties. Can we talk about that rain scene? Khao has this incredible ability to look completely shattered. The guilt Lynx feels for not reconciling with his mom before she passed was palpable. He didn't just play "sad" he played "haunted”. And First plays Tiger with such a unique energy. He’s supposed to be "ruthless," but the second he sees a cat, he melts. The way he uses his eyes to communicate with both the cats and Lynx is top-tier.

Never cried more in any 1st episode ever!

The beginning of the story was very emotional and the acting that carried this story was exceptional. Khaotung Thanawat gives a powerful performance as Lynx, who is the grieving son of Je Meow, the owner of Cat Cheer Cafe, a cat cafe. First Kanaphan as Tiger, the cat-lover debt collector becomes close with Je Meow in the last few months of her life. In this episode we see a little of the complicated relationship between Je an her son Lynx, along with Lynx's grief. First Kanaphan as Tiger gives a subtly supportive but beautiful performance that has captured my heart already. Eagerly waiting for Episode 2!

An amazing start!!!

The first episode is already so good! As always, FirstKhaotung did an amazing job with their acting! Even when they aren't speaking (perhaps especially then) the way they act through their actions and expressions is really amazing! Not only them, but the other cast members, namely P'Fresh, did an amazing job too! I'm loving the story so far~ I only hope we will see TigerLynx smiling more in the following episodes!(My favorite scenes so far were: - favorite sad scene: when Lynx says he wants to eat what's in the fridge, even though it's been seven days- favorite wholesome scene: when Tiger puts a blanket over Lynx and Lynx thanks him for his help- favorite funny scene: when Tiger is talking to the cats and Lynx appears suddenly, asking who he's talking to)

Amazing start!

Firstkhaotung chemistry always blows my mind! Thia episode was full of so many emotions, and the way they portrayed grief was perfect. Khaotung can act solely with his eyes, and First knows how to match him. They are so talented and the directing, music, cinematography and colour grade all impressed me!

Excellent performances

Despite having a slightly funny and unusual fantasy premise, Cat For Cash takes its story very seriously from the first episode.Episode 1 focuses strongly on family and dreams, and the emotions feel natural and sincere. The funeral scene and Lynx’s return home after his mother’s death are beautifully shot and genuinely heartbreaking. The cinematography is clean and thoughtful, and the background sound is well-placed, enhancing the sadness without being overwhelming.First and Khaotung deliver excellent performances, making the emotions feel real and grounded. A strong and emotional opening that sets the tone of the series very well.

MY MANNN. I wasn't gonna start this, but…

MY MANNN. I wasn't gonna start this, but the clip of khao laying on First lap is the reason why i am here, also i love cats almost as much as i love thai dramas lmao. This is such a BS plot lmao, but i love it. Is that guy speaking spanish lmao? Also khao is literally a cat. Love at first sight, this cant be. This is so cringe, but also fun af. World record timing with the shits. First looks like hes balding in the front with the way his hair is. 9/10 pretty good episodes. I feel like the plot is a little wack, but its fun. Okay bye!

Great start

SPOILER!Great start to the new FirstKhaotung series. From the trailer, I was expecting something a bit more awkward, but thanks to this first episode, I'm reconsidering my opinion. Also, the chemistry between First and Khaotung is fantastic, but I already knew that. The only thing I would say is: please give Khaotung a mum! In every series, they meet either at a funeral or in the bathroom. Please give him a moment of peace, even though they are both very good at crying. I can't wait to see the next episodes, although just looking at the cast is enough to know that it will be an excellent series!

Strong start

What a strong start to cat for cash. It has the perfect combination of amazing actors in FirstKhao, direction and the outs were on point as well!! I loved Je Meow, looking forward to see how it pans out cause we know she is an integral part of the show. When it comes hp emotional scenes, Khaotung is truly on a league of his own. It’s a feel good comedy show yet has such depth acting from FirstKhao. Really excited and looking forward to how the show develops.

Solid Premiere

SPOILER ALERTThat first episode really hurt — in the best and worst way. Of course I watched it straight away, partly because I’m a certified cat person and partly because Khaotung and First are always reliable when it comes to emotional heavy lifting. I vaguely remembered the mock trailer, just thatthat Tiger can understand cats, so I all I know is it would be a light watch, so wasn't fully prepared for heavy parts.I kinda expected for Tiger to lash out at Lynx during her mother’s wake, and that's unfair. He doesn’t really know the full history between Meow and Lynx, and technically, he isn’t family. Still, it felt like his reaction came from a place of empathy. He had already formed a bond with Lynx, and you could tell he felt protective of her in that moment.I also found Tiger’s character really interesting as a debt collector. He’s tough and unapologetic with people who clearly aren’t even trying to pay — like the gamblers — but noticeably gentler with Meow. Maybe it’s because he loves cats, or maybe because he understands that Meow is using what little she earns to survive and manage her illness. Either way, that contrast adds depth to his character. What really shocked me, though, was how the episode went straight for the jugular. No easing in, no warm-up — they laid out the premise immediately and killed Meow in the very first episode. Wild. Shocking. Slightly traumatising.Still, as painful as it was, it made for a strong, confident premiere. Emotionally heavy, yes, but solid and compelling. A very good — if heartbreaking — start.

a rollercoaster of emotions

this was such a great but sad start 😞 in the first part of the episode I was happy and then I ended up crying because of Khaotung's acting. He always delivers a great performance at emotional scenes. And ofc First is a great actor too!! I just love seeing them together again. I can't wait to see what's coming next! I also loved the coloring and the production :)

A gentle invitation that warms the heart and stirs emotion in just the right measure

Cat For Cash premieres with a charming sense of confidence, striking just the right balance between lightness and emotion. The first episode blends humor, tenderness, and sensitivity with detail-oriented direction, turning simple gestures and romantic symbols into moments filled with meaning. The cinematography and soundtrack enhance this atmosphere, creating an emotional warmth that feels enveloping without ever being forced; even the cats, full of personality, become part of the affection the series builds so carefully. First and Khaotung carry the story with immediate chemistry and a beautifully delicate performance. There is warmth in their gazes, honesty in their emotions, and a connection that develops naturally, allowing the episode to be touching without losing its lightness. Cat For Cash begins as a gentle, sincere invitation, one that warms the heart and stirs emotion in just the right measure, leaving a lovely impression and a clear desire to keep watching.
