While waiting for surgery, Jin Shi Chuan starts to distance himself from Xu Lai. Xu Lai's mother calls her and tells her to find a partner with a healthy body. Jin Shi Chuan uses the opportunity to tell Xu Lai that he needs a traditional woman who can tend to the house and that Xu Lai isn't it.
