Zhi Yuan Jun Xin Si Wo Xin (2025)

Surprisingly good for what it is.

I never thought I'd write a review for a vertical drama (I call them tiktok dramas), but this one was actually fairly well acted....and funny. So funny! Especially in the beginning. (Pay attention to the soundtrack when FL sees ML with his shirt unbuttoned, that had me rolling!) It was your typical CEO/poor girl drama, with mom needing an operation. So no surprises in the plot. But the script writers definitely had a sense of humor, and the actors pulled it off great! Even the translations were done well, with very few grammatical errors or ridiculous half-sentences that made no sense, like you'd find in most of the vertical dramas. When I was only a few minutes in, I was hooked. Most of these type will have me fast forwarding and rolling my eyes, but this one had me laughing out loud. Absolutely great for a quick watch, when you don't really want to get into the high's and low's of a full-blown production. And most of the acting was actually pretty good too! Do not expect sound effects though. They're practically non-existent.
