Mostly schemes and Schemes.

Positive Points:
▪︎ML is saved and Shen family got exposed.
▪︎The emperor and Empress (now Empress Dowager) have a good relationship and they are friendly to FL ( she got hit after she returns to palace and meets ML mother )

Negative Points:
▪︎Everything's pleasant from ML side but FL side is messed up, scheming father and jealous siblings.
▪︎At beginning FL used manipulation in order for ML to marry her and to get her mother out of the gasp of her father.
▪︎The FL poisoned her Mother (technically, illegitimate daughters called the main wife "mom") with the same poison used on her biological mother (mistress)
▪︎From my point of veiw it does not state ML will stop the harem tradition (concubines are present still, FL sister is pregnant and I have no idea what happened to baby
▪︎Her father doesn't care about his family and he kill his legitimate son to protect himself. This was frustrating to watch.

FL biological mother is not favoured thus her suffering from childhood and she doesn't get the love from her father. Servant of FL mother (if she even have one) are controlled and every action are reported to FL father) made her clean the palace like a servant as punishment for faking her death. Which is right and also wrong..
FL didn't think twice about what would happen to him if she dies in the fire (he wanted to ki** himself and got gray hair because he always thinks about her it is implied by him painting her portraits) Also the plot shouldn't have forced in ML having intercourse with the princess from other region and perhaps other ladies while he is devoted/married to FL and have a daughter (princess) & son (prince)
There are funny moments but it's more like a chore to watch after she gets pregnant with twins. The schemes are a lot and MAJORITY of the plot focuses on it. I only recommend watching the drama up until FL daughter meet her father and than you can QUIT the drama. OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE ANGRY WITH FL FAMILY AND WANT TO THROW YOUR DEVICE ACROSS THE ROOM. I HAD THAT TEMPTATION...

This has always been in my mind: How come her biological mother family are nonexistent and there is no-one protect FL in the beginning in the short dramas
