Hot NCs but a Messy Plot

I came to this movie after watching An Jeong Gyun in Love Class 2, and he was absolutely hot here. His chemistry in the NC scenes was off the charts, and the two sisters also delivered some of the best intimate scenes I have seen in a Korean movie. Those moments alone are unforgettable and definitely the highlight of the film.

That being said, the overall plot is quite weak. The timeline feels messy and confusing at times, and the story struggles to keep its focus. The summary from MDL sounds more exciting than what actually plays out on screen.

Hint. Skip straight to the NC scenes, you do not really need the plot to enjoy this one.

Still, the intensity of the NC scenes, combined with the strong screen presence of An Jeong Gyun, makes it worth checking out if you are curious. For that reason, I give it 8 out of 10.

Girl… where do I even start? “I Would Rather Kill You” really had the aesthetic, the moody lighting, the steamy stares — but that’s literally it. It tried so hard to be dark and sexy but ended up feeling like a Wattpad fanfic with a K-drama filter and zero plot. Like... who greenlit this?

The actors actually ate with what they were given — I’ll give them that. They served intensity, mystery, tension — but for what? There was no story to carry it. Just scenes of almost-hookups, dramatic breathing, and the occasional "deep" line that felt like it was pulled from a Tumblr post circa 2012.

It kept teasing like something big was gonna happen, and I was patient, okay? I really gave it a chance. But by the end I was like, “That’s it?” No climax (pun very much intended), no twist, no real conflict — just vibes and thirst. It’s basically soft porn that’s too shy to commit. No plot, just pouty lips and prolonged eye contact.

It wanted to be edgy and psychological, but it’s giving aesthetic over substance. It had all the ingredients for something spicy and intense, but forgot the actual recipe.

Watch it if you’re bored and just want background noise with pretty people fake-panting in slow motion. Otherwise? Girl, don’t waste your time.
