Shi Guang Li Jing Dai Hua Kai (2023)

Shi Guang Li Jing Dai Hua Kai (2023) (Aka: Waiting for Flowers to Bloom in Time) is a reborn/revenge miniseries with Zhang Ji Jun (as Yan Cheng Jue) and Cheng Zi (as Yun Qian Yao) in the leading couple’s role. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the revenge plot is well plan. There is a secondary romance plot with the main leads but there is no romantic chemistry between Zhang Ji Jun and Cheng Zi. Cheng Zi’s body language after reborn was stiff and her facial expressions lacked emotional connection, even though she can smile beautifully, her eyes were not profoundly showing love toward the male lead in character. Zhang Ji Jun tried harder, like when they had their first kiss, almost at the end of this slow burn romance, but her mind seemed to be more into something else than acting the part. Overall, the drama could’ve have the lead couple as vengeful team mates and it would have been better. The second male lead did a great job as the antagonist!
