Just a heads-up about a script error in the episode: when the grandfather tells him to look at "Baryshnikov" instead of him, the writers made a huge mistake. Mikhail Baryshnikov is one of the most famous ballet dancers in history, not a classical pianist!! Not to discredit the show, but this is a clear research fail by the writing team.

It’s not a mistake. Baryshnikov was another conductor who was set to participate in the competition, alongside Pio’s grandfather.

Pio wanted his grandfather to conduct the orchestra during his own performance, but the man declined, saying that Baryshnikov was a better fit for his particular interpretation.

At that point, Pio gets angry and asks why he’s being rejected—especially since he knows that his grandfather will be conducting the orchestra when Choi Jeong Yo performs.
