*Ai Ru Dong Yan* begins with Jiang Ci trapped in a marriage that has already left her emotionally exhausted. She has been married for three years, yet her husband’s heart belongs to his “white moonlight.” No matter what Jiang Ci does, she can never truly become the woman he chooses.

Eventually, she reaches her breaking point.

On a snowy winter night, a heartbroken and drunken Jiang Ci unexpectedly meets the ML. One impulsive night between two strangers becomes the beginning of a relationship neither of them planned.

What I enjoyed was watching Jiang Ci slowly move away from a marriage where she was constantly made to feel second best. Her relationship with the ML begins with physical attraction and plenty of complications, but gradually develops into something much deeper.

The ML also surprised me. What begins as an unexpected encounter turns into genuine attachment, protectiveness, jealousy, and love. Their chemistry is strong because both characters clearly feel the attraction between them, even when neither wants to admit how emotionally involved they have become.

Then Jiang Ci discovers she is pregnant, completely changing the situation again.

For me, the pregnancy isn't what creates their relationship—it forces them to finally confront feelings that were already developing.

I especially liked seeing Jiang Ci realize that she doesn't have to spend her life begging someone to choose her. After years of being pushed aside for another woman, she finally experiences what it feels like to have someone actually want **her**.

Her first marriage taught her how lonely love can feel when it is one-sided.

Tenho quase certeza que assisti as adaptações "Crimson Too Deep" e "Heart of Destruction", mas não marquei, assim como eu não havia marcado essa como assistida e me deparei online com um novo upload no youtube e dei play antes de dormir.
Sei com certeza que assisti, porque estão marcadas, as versões Fei Se Qi Yue (ruim) e Beyond the Flame (mais ou menos).

Eu gosto da presença que o ator Li Ke Le tem neste drama, mas não afirmo com certeza que ele fez um ML que daria tanto medo e respeito como se era esperado de seu personagem, já que ele era a figura mais importante da família. Não vemos esse poder todo por muito tempo no drama. Já a atriz Tang Jing, a vejo mais como personagens de época do que em dramas modernos, não sei se foi sua maquiagem e roupa neste drama que me deu essa sensação. Sua personagem oscilava entre uma postura mais direta e firme com a angustia, mas não consegui captar em sua atuação esses sentimentos são aflorados, nem quando ela distribuiu tapas.

Na época em que assisti as versões eu não era tão fã da premissa da história, então me deixei levar pela história extremamente absurda que foi apresentada, mas hoje consigo analisar um pouco mais calmamente, apesar de continuar achando o 2ML um tremendo de um hipócrita nojento e a 2FL a clássica das chá verdes amantes nojenta.
