Asta and Yuno grew up together in a humble church after being abandoned as infants. Both boys idolized the legendary Wizard King, the kingdom’s mightiest mage, and vowed to one day compete for that very title. But as they matured, their paths diverged—Yuno displayed extraordinary magical talent while Asta, despite relentless training, remained unable to wield magic at all. Their dreams clashed with reality, yet neither gave up on their shared ambition. At fifteen, Yuno was granted a rare four-leaf clover Grimoire, a symbol of immense potential, while Asta received nothing. Their fates took another turn when a thief named Lebuty attacked Yuno to steal his Grimoire. Though outmatched, Asta refused to back down, and in a surge of determination, he awakened his own power—a mysterious five-leaf clover Grimoire, known as the Black Clover. With its strength, he turned the tide and saved his friend.
