Rudo grows up in the shadow of a divided city, where the privileged elite live in luxury while the poor struggle in the slums. Raised by his kind foster father Regto, he harbors deep resentment toward the wasteful upper class, often scavenging through their discarded items to rescue what he can from the Abyss, a bottomless pit where society dumps its unwanted trash and even its unwanted people. His hatred stems from personal tragedy, as his birth father was condemned to the same fate, unjustly accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Everything changes when Rudo discovers Regto mortally wounded, only to be framed for the murder himself. With no one willing to listen to his pleas of innocence, he’s cast into the Abyss, expecting death. Instead, he awakens in a grotesque wasteland teeming with monstrous creatures formed from refuse. Rescued by a warrior named Enjin, Rudo learns of the Cleaners, an elite force wielding powerful weapons to battle the trash-born horrors.
