I remember reading old-school Harlequins with a trope like this with FL being ML´s live in mistress-him giving her anything for full access to her body- except for giving her his heart. LuYu Chen is a hero that once you sees that he truly cares for his heroine, while in his passionate pursuit of her, that nothing is quite as it seems. He is a man who is caged by a sworn duty to his parents in the name of his older brother who died in the past. The sweetly way they treated each other, the way he held her hand, the way he could NOT STOP kissing her in any scenes whatsoever. I mean, you could see through his eyes how he found her utterly desirable! I find LiZi Jie a terrific gorgeous actor, this is my second Vertical i have finished starring him!
