I completely agree. Being a side couple does not justify skipping the most important part of their story. Tawan’s family largely created its own downfall, while he personally hurt Aran, so losing everything was not enough to make forgiveness feel earned. Perth and Santa gave the relationship far more emotional potential than the writing allowed, and the sequel had the perfect opportunity to show Tawan rebuilding Aran’s trust properly. Instead, it rushed them forward again.
