Double Helix Episode 12 Reactions
idk about the Bipolar disorder diagnosis, but given his upbringing & that abusive ass father, i aint shocked that he was traumatized & had a distorted way of interoperating love & affection. that's why their "1st time", their relationship in general was such a disaster - that's also why LuFeng wasn't just "in love" he was obsessed with Xiao Chen & at some point infatuation turned into addiction & LuFeng couldn't quit, even though he knew Xiao Chen wasn't doing him good - if anything his seeking out professional help, means he knew that his feelings where Xiao Chen was concerned had turned toxic & were harming him, which ultimately could cause him to harm Xiao Chen. *******************************************************************************
Xiao Chen on the other hand IS the main bad-guy cause he was to self-involved & comfortable in his passive role, where he didn't have to do anything but sit & wait for LuFeng to be the aggressor, the pursuer, the wooer, the apologizer & the beggar... while he sat on his throne of silence watching the LuFeng come begging on his knees time & time again, offering his heart for Xiao Chen to stomp on. & that's what he did, time & time again. when push came to shove & he needed to voice his POV what did he do? ran - he loved running ensuring LuFeng, who was already on the verge (cause of his father) would go over & he did. who wouldn't break after what LuFeng has been put through from the start of this BL???? We can't push people to the breaking point, and then blame them for breaking!!! ******************************************************************************************
so, no i aint happy with this ending, cause the healthy option would be LuFeng getting the help he needed & like any addicted calling quits on his "fix" = Xiao Chen. LuFeng got help, but what about Xiao Chen??? what happens when the next hurdle comes along & he run as is his MO, then LuFeng will relapse & find himself in a close ward again??? what kind of "happily ever after" is that??? so i think this is a sad ending. as all that medication & threaphy didn't help LuFeng call it quilt's where Xiao Chen is concerned. ***************************************************************************************************************************
****************************************************************************************************************************************
this had a lot of promise, but that's cause i didn't get the plot & what i was really seeing, i thought this would be along the lines of To My Shore, this isn't & the bad-guy get's to eat his cake & keep it too. & don't get me started on the side couple - they were like old milk - as the ep's progressed i found both annoying & off putting. ugh - good acting but this BL was a let down given the ending & how it progressed
