The second serving of their second time love - off to a yummy start!!
I had liked the first season quite a bit and was excited about season 2...looks like the second serving is all set to rock!!BL-Needle Score: 8. High BL-ness
Miyata and Iwanaga are now settled into a relationship and the tenderness between them looks so beautiful...even after 2 years, Miyata is still completely head over heels for his Senpai and so is Iwanaga for his Miyata-kun, or is he???
What happens when Senpai's Senpai comes back to see him instantly after learning that Iwanaga has 'someone special in his life'....seems like trouble is brewing in paradise...Miyata is anyway a tad insecured around Iwanaga's cocky-handsome persona...now if his seemingly old flame comes back claiming his attention, how will he handle it? Also, his erstwhile love-rival and Iwanaga's secretary, seems hell bent on screwing their happiness....
We seem to be set for some delish tensions, borderline infidelity and love-hurt...I can't wait!!!
Verdict: Yes, watch

Somewhat better than season 1
Season 1 I had a much more negative reaction to Iwanaga. So, I went into this season with kind of a chip on my shoulder toward this character. Watching the first couple of episodes, my opinion really didn't change much ... however, stay with it, because not only does this feeling definitely change toward him, the series gets better as you get toward the ending. I felt it was a better season than the first one.Robin Furuya & Makoto Hasegawa do make some good chemistry together, of course that's when they're actually together. Miyata is so unsure of himself throughout each episode, it does become a bit repetitive with him questioning his partner's true feelings. I mean, we get the picture, Iwanaga had many many boyfriends in the past, and Miyata always seems to run into one of them. It's like they're all over Japan. However, once you get beyond this annoyance, the story does come together, especially in the final two episodes.
The finale turns out to be much better than I anticipated. The two protagonists give us a great conclusion to the two seasons of this series. A few characters of the supporting cast play a role in this as well.
We do get an enjoyable ending, and they give us something to smile about!

Love is Not Better With Exes Around (watch suggestions)
Overall: the parade of exes (5!!!) was not enjoyable for a second season. 7 episodes about 25 minutes each. Aired on GagaOOLala https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/8904/love-is-better-the-second-time-around-2024-s02e01Watch Suggestions
- watch episode 1 until 21:20
- episode 2 watch 23-end
- episode 3 watch beginnng-5:40, 20:20-23
- episode 4 watch 16:40-19:05
- episode 5 watch 3:30-5:55, 9:15-13
- skip episode 6
- episode 7 watch 15-end
What I Liked
- acting
- intimacy*
- not all exes were cliched
- production value
Room For Improvement
- no idea why the writer/s thought viewers wanted to see a bunch of exes, no idea how these two stayed together for 2 years with their poor communication skills, undying love theme is undercut when there were so many exes, Iwanaga should have thrown that damn watch in the ocean
- *the kissing was one sided as far as energy and movement
- love rivals (5 exes plus love rival)
