This is a "second chance at love" show. The premise is a divorced couple meet again as interns in the same Emergency Room. Sparks fly. The primary couple is Oh Jin Hee, played by Song Ji Hyo, and Oh Chang Min, played by Choi Jin Hyuk. I'll be honest. Choi Jin Hyuk flips my switch, so I'm inclined to love anything that I see him in because, yeah. Ahem. Anyway. They are a couple that married young and against the wishes of his family and then broke up spectacularly after a year. Six (I think) years later, they meet up again when they are both assigned as interns to the same team in the emergency department of their hospital. What follows is a couple re-learning what it was that attracted them in the first place, and also what ways they had to grow before they could really be successful together. The show does hit a point where it starts to drag a bit when some tragic things happen and Oh Chang Min spends two or three episodes kind of back sliding and wallowing, but once you get through that, you're rewarded with a couple of wrap up episodes that tie everything up neatly and satisfactorily. The secondary couple are really fun to watch together and have just as satisfying, though less delved, story as the main couple. The supporting cast is fun. I've already watched this drama twice and will probably watch it again at some point in the future because, as mentioned, Choi Jin Hyuk, damn. That voice, that smile. Mmph.

CAST: I love Song Ji Hyo and Choi Jin Hyuk include to the list Lee Pil Mo as well, honestly they were the only reason I kept watching the show until the very end that's how much I love them, hahaha
MUSIC: Haha, the music was honestly forgettable! When I think about Emergency Couple there's no music or BGM that would come to my mind, that's how forgettable it was.
REWATCH VALUE: Maybe, if you really love this drama you might watch it agian but for me I would possibly watch it again only for Song Ji Hyo and Choi Jin Hyuk.
OVERALL: 7.5/10 because it was dragging and the in-laws were kind of annoying as well.
*Edit: I've tried watching it today... and surprisingly I actually kind of like it the second time around... hahahhaa maybe it went up to 8.5/10 stars overall in my opinion hahaha

I'll give this drama a 6.5/10. I have watched a lot of medical dramas and for me, this drama is pretty basic.

The music is not really memorable, but it has a few upbeat songs that did catch my attention. Special mention to the cute baby. After the first few episodes, the show lost its momentum. The last few episodes dragged like hell. Anyways could watch this show to see something new.

all about giving relationship 2nd chance
This drama was not bad..I was okay type..I felt something was lacking in it..I was really impressed as this is the only drama that has no family members betraying each other..like in other dramas the uncle would betray his real brother for money and all... And there is no buissnes talk ..there is less got to do with money...I didn't regret watching it..Was this review helpful to you?

Love That Breaks, Heals, and Bruises All Over Again
I didn’t expect Emergency Couple to leave me feeling so much. On paper, it looked like standard rom-com fare — exes forced to work together in the chaotic environment of an ER, sniping at each other between treating patients. I thought I knew exactly what I was signing up for. But somewhere in the middle of all the bickering and comedic clashes, something deeper started to surface. What struck me wasn’t just the humor (though there was plenty of that, sharp and well-timed). It was how every fight, every sarcastic jab, carried history. Watching Oh Chang-min and Oh Jin-hee clash felt less like banter and more like two people testing the wounds they left behind. The chemistry wasn’t just romantic — it was layered with guilt, stubbornness, pride, and that unspoken ache of I hate how much you still matter to me.
Song Ji-hyo played Jin-hee with such quiet dignity. Even when she faltered, even when her vulnerability showed, there was a core of strength in her that never felt performative. She didn’t want to be rescued or pitied. She just wanted to stand on her own terms. Choi Jin-hyuk as Chang-min surprised me, too. His arrogance was easy to dismiss at first, but as cracks began to show, there was this blooming softness that felt earned. Not a complete transformation, just enough to remind me that love isn’t about fixing someone — it’s about them wanting to try.
The hospital setting added urgency, sure. The medical cases gave the plot rhythm. But the real tension wasn’t in the emergency calls or racing heartbeats on a monitor. It was in the quiet moments: a look held too long, an apology left unsaid, a memory resurfacing uninvited. It was watching two people navigate not just each other, but the damage they’d done — and the damage life had done to them while they were apart.
It was chaotic. Messy. Sometimes loud and immature. But that’s what made it feel real. Love isn’t clean. Especially love that’s been broken once before. There’s always history humming under every touch, every silence. And this drama understood that better than most.
I thought it would just entertain me. Instead, it reminded me why second chances ache the way they do. And that’s why I loved it.
