To celebrate Shan Shan’s move, Feng Teng and Shan Shan host a party with her best friends and their boyfriends at the new apartment, and Shan Shan and Feng Teng go shopping for food. At dinner, Feng Teng tells Du Fan to not be so uptight, which makes him even more tense. Cheng Hao arrives at the party late following a meeting and is confused when he sees the luxury car out front. Upon discovering that Shan Shan’s boyfriend is Feng Teng, he begins to fawn over him while blaming Liu Liu for not telling him the identity of Shan Shan’s boyfriend sooner, causing everyone present to feel uncomfortable. Food Companion

I feel like I am lost in translation with this drama. The only reason I continue to keep watching is because of the FL. Even though I find her constant monologue tiring and annoying, she is very cute to watch. I keep waiting for the chemistry between the leads to pick up, but the ML is still stiff as a board. The one thing that makes no sense is what is up with all the damn food?! Does this guy just like eating with the girl who has a healthy appetite? The ML's attraction to the FL is hard to understand and I don't get all the cultural nuance associated with the food. It's...kind of weird, but I'm going to continue to slog through this for the heck of it.
