The incident with the riding boot took Shan Shan and Feng Teng’s relationship to the next level. When Shan Shan takes the initiative to have lunch in Feng Teng’s office, it causes a discussion among the coworkers. Renewing the relationship makes Shan Shan feel happy and inspires her to register for CPA classes to bring them even closer. Balancing work and class, Shan Shan’s time with Feng Teng is reduced significantly, and though Feng Teng feels lonely, seeing Shan Shan work so hard for their future is immensely gratifying.
