Angel Eyes Episode 6 Reactions
DJ and SW's scenes are always sweet, but there is a lot of unresolved feelings and things they still don't know... for example, what is behind the hit and run case of DJ's mother??? Soo Wan's father is so fishy and controlling. His daughter believes she's free, but her father has already planned her wedding with a man she likes but we see she doesn't love like Dong Joo. And I have to say poor Ji Woon because he looks like a good guy.
We also got a glimpse of how the detective worked on the hit and run case. He wanted to resolve it, damn. In the first episodes it looked like he didn't want to work OR he had been paid to drop the case, but now it's clear somebody behind him did this. It's possible his career as a detective was also destroyed because he wanted to continue his investigations. This whole thing is twisted but at this point I may be lead to think that Soo Wan's father arranged DJ's mother to die in what appeared like a hit and run case, so that she could be a donor? Killing DJ or his sister would have been too much. If this is the case (I am just speculating)... what a disgusting man. He paid for DJ's tutoring abroad so he could redeem himself because he felt guilty. Things may change if SW and her father find out that DJ's father tried to save SW's mother during the accident where SW lost her sight.
Cannot wait to see more. I wonder how the writers will be able to tie up these new ends they've introduced for the finale. Right now the storyline is intriguing and set up well. I cannot stand Wan's father keeping those letters away from her. (The Notebook, anyone?) I haven't been too crazy about these father parts he's been in. The last drama I saw him in was Love Rain, where his character seemed slightly selfish like this too. However, I'm anticipating future episodes~
There are so many layers to this drama, and I wonder how they will tie together, or if they'll tie together at all. Like Teddy's past, Team Leader's past, what happened to DongJoo's mom, this new guy, Dr. Choi, etc.
Also, it's such an intense and heartfelt drama, it almost feels out of place when silly things happen, like Teddy and his grandmother's red underwear... It was amazing, but it felt a little out of place, at least to me.
Still, I can't wait for episode 7! ^^
