Completely Infamous Episode

Do not know how this one made it to broadcast but it's insane. If you are squeamish with animal cruelty or animal death I would not recommend you watch this but it's pretty crazy and infamous. Dakkar, in this episode, create a strain of what is essentially Super Rabies to infect the town Doctor's dog. The plan is to defame the doctor who has become a symbol of hope and justice to the town by spreading this super rabies to everyone. The doctor's son ends up finding the dog after it has been infected and runs away with the dog to protect it from being put down since he doesn't understand what is at stake. The dog bites him and his dad, the doctor might I remind you, decides there is no time to develop a new tetanus shot or rabies shot to treat this, so his next reasonable course of action is to take his son out back like Old Yeller and put him down himself with a shotgun. Of course no child actually dies on screen but Hayakawa does make it out of a harrowing fight and saves the town doctor from being hung by Dakkar to make it look like a suicide. The episode ends with the view of the young boy still alive and climbing to the top of a hill while calling out Hayakawa's name. There was no cure ever found by the end of the episode and no resolution to the boy's fate ever discussed. The presumption is that he is going to die still.

Disgusting

This episode made me feel sick. I highly recommend you skip it. It's a stain on an otherwise amazing series.
