Just coming of age movie...

For me, the jokes in this movie weren't something that made me burst out laughing. But I knew it would be like that before I even started watching it. Such jokes just rarely make me laugh.

I decided to watch this movie because of the actors. They are really good. And I really love Woo Bin's acting in his dramas.

Even though I wasn't laughing, I enjoyed it. Just simple coming-of-age/slice of life movie with some inappropriate lines sometimes. In this movie you can notice a lot of typical things for Korean comedies produced at that time.

The boys in their twenties trying to date and learn about girls was cool. Everyone was great including so hee. I watched her in pinocchio and i love her acting shes cute. The fighting scene at the end was just hilarious. Great movie every scene was engaging

Before they were famous....

I would not call it a knee slapping comedy but it is a nice simple movie to watch especially if you want to see the huge stars of today in one of their first roles, when they were young and innocent! LOL

The story follows three high school best friends as they navigate the sensitive time between adolescence and adulthood doing every silly thing boys that age do as they mature. Talking about girls, trying to get laid, choosing a profession, gaining independence from family...

The actors are all exceptional, the banter and their chemistry is worth the watch. The girl gravitating around them is a welcome addition with her deadpan expression and no nonsense attitude.

And of course, the cherry on the cake is the slow motion fistfight with the loan sharks. That was really funny! The film is worth the watch for this scene! But not only, rest assured!

Just so much fun

There’s nothing that particularly stands out in this movie, yet it keeps a constant grin on your face…..and seriously we are in the end of May 2025 and there’s been a bunch of real tepid Asian dramas this year.
Imagine desperately searching for something worthwhile to watch - and this movie from 10 years ago, with all its teenage hormonal sexuality , and 3 heartthrobs in their early days lights up your screen ……… oasis!!!!!

The lead actors were great but the supporting cast stole the show.
The director, the parents of WooBin, the chinese restaurant owners…..spot on comic timing!!!

Be warned there are a lot of sexual innuendos….but such a great movie about 20 year olds.

Fun-Natured and Carefree

I normally hate sexually explicit jokes, they just really aren't my cup of tea. BUT, I actually REALLY enjoyed them here. I don't know what the movie did right, but with the fun-natured and carefree attitude of the protagonists, I genuinely found myself laughing along to most of the jokes and comedic scenes, even the sexual ones.

This movie managed to pack in how your twenties can feel vs. what they are "supposed to" feel like, genuine and hilarious friendship, love & heartbreak, sex-positivity, and a hint of social commentary. I enjoyed every bit of it and found my cheeks hurting after smiling for so long. It's honestly the perfect uplifting movie to amuse you and begin contemplating your own twenties and how they went/are going.

I got to admit, the beginning scenes made me feel like this movie was bit behind with the times with the emphasis on "losing your virginity," and other nit-picky things I noticed throughout my viewing. But as the movie went on, you really got a sense of the importance of some of these things to them and as a 22 year old myself, a lot of the themes hit hard. I found myself relating a bit to some of the characters and smiling knowingly every once in a while when I could predict what may happen.

Despite it being incredibly funny, it contains a lot of wisdom as well, which were little pleasant surprises covertly integrated into the script.

Please, please give it a go. I promise you'll get a laugh.

The movie is absolutely amazing and if your having a bad day or just looking for a laugh this is the movie to watch I guarantee you wont be let down it's funny from beginning to the very end.

The movie is about three friends in their 20's who embrace life's possibilities and changes and cause havoc wherever it is possible and the friendship they have together is no doubt something anyone or everyone would want to have.

I liked the movie because it shows how deep friendships can be and that they can last forever even when something bad happens, it also shows you that theirs more opportunities in life after high school and not just having to go to college your able to still have your free time and hang out with friends and possibly get in a little trouble or you know Rebel but in the end it would all be worth it cause you graduated and you still have your best friends beside you til the very end.

I enjoyed each and every aspect of this movie, the cast and the acting was just straight out impeccable, I loved the plot, the begining scene and the ending scene and everything in between. The characters were likeable but realistic and relatable. The script was witty and the humour was subtle, not too much of anything, just perfect harmony.
I've rewatched this movie countless times and every single time I've found myself just as entertained as I did when I first watched it. 10/10 would recommend this movie to someone who's just starting their journey with k-movies and k-dramas.

So I was (am) in the middle of watching Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and I had to do a double take and make sure that Kang Ha Neul really was in this! Ha-ha! Because this is a raunchy comedy featuring the minds and world of early twenty-something men!! Ha-ha. It has the crazy ideas of youth and the insanity of life. So the poise 8th Prince suddenly jacking off and . . . other shenanigans was so outrageous!

Outrageous fits this movie well. Outrageously funny is even more accurate. To be honest I'm not that familiar with these actors playing the leads. (Yeah. I KNOW who they are, but have been exposed to almost none of their work except for Kang Ha Neul.) The writing weaved a fabulous friendship that started over an unlikely event, but I believe that's how great friendships start. You just fall into it. The actors do a great job making me feel their friendship.

Really I don't want to give away too much of the story. However, I will say it has a nice awkwardness to the humor that comes from being real life. Come on. It's totally relatable. Even though you’re thinking “that's outrageous” it's totally believable. It deals with the awkwardness of the early twenties. Facing the reality that you are at a fork in the road where your life has to go on after school. Will you still have the same beliefs, how will you change, and of course how will your friendships change?

Honestly if these 3 guys ended up being in a male Sex in the City I would be on board. In a strange way I felt like the totally upfront and frank talks these guys had about sex and life actually had kinship to aforementioned show. Which is probably why I liked it so much! So Chi Ho (actor Kim Woo Bin) would be Samantha. Gyeong Jae (actor Kang Ha Neul) would be Charlotte. Miranda would be Kang Dong Woo (actor Lee Jun Ho). At least to me. (Sorry no Carries!)

The female cast is just as awesome and important. I loved Gyeong Jae's little sister! She's such a force and I love that she went for what she wanted. The other females where just as complicated and fabulous and held their own with the male cast. The parents that were present and the “adult” figures also did great jobs.

The music fit the movie well, but overall I've already forgotten most of it. I do know while viewing there were many times I thought: “that fits so perfectly!”

Oh, yeah. I would totally rewatch this again. It's too fun not to dust off for multiple views.

This is a more adult and frank real life type of Korean movie. Which I love. Actually I think if you like My PS Partner you will appreciate this one. No nudity . . . was there a naked butt? Lot's of sexual content! Chi Ho's player and sexy times there's not much in that graphic nature. Still be warned. I loved the story and humor. It feels out there, but it's relatable in the story of growing up. Especially as an early twenty something. Check it out. I dare you not to laugh your butt off.

This is so weird. It took me six days to finish it.

There's a lot of pretty to this drama.

These guys take themselves way too seriously.

There's not much of a plot, or bromance, and I think the show was a little tied down by the “message” of being in your 20s.

Too much reflection for this kind of genre.

Chi Ho

“Chi Ho's goal was to keep breathing.”

This guy is shallow and aimless and spoiled.

Kyung Jae

Kyung Jae is super shy and easily embarrassed. He's really concerned about what other people think of him. I like the dynamic of how respectful and careful he is around his sunbae romance. His friends say,

“Don't go and raise the bar of the rest of us please.”

He wants to impress her.

Dong Woo

I don't even know what to say about this guy. He was just there.

Verdict: I think I should stick to Korean dramas.
