Annie Chen is a Taiwanese actress and model born in Taichung, Taipei. She initially worked as a receptionist for a nationwide radio station. In 2007, she participated in the first season of "Catwalk Girl," winning the championship. Following her win, she resigned from her previous job to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

She was enrolled in the Department of Finance and Banking at Kainan University. During her fourth year, to balance her studies and acting career, she transferred to the third year of the Finance and Banking Department at Hsing Wu University of Science and Technology but later took a leave of absence to focus on her career.
