Girls Generation's Choi Soo Young is making her debut in Hollywood!
Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Jong Won have been confirmed to headline the upcoming horror thriller, A Place to Kill.
On April 15, movie distributor Showbox announced that Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Jong Won will be the main leads of A Place to Kill, and the filming of the upcoming movie is set to begin next month.
A Place to Kill is a story rooted in the actual location of Salmokji Reservoir, a place where chilling events occurred.
This upcoming film is produced by The Lamp, the same company that created the popular Samjin Company English Class, and will be distributed by Showbox.
Kim Hye Yoon will portray the role of Su In, who encounters a series of mysterious events at the reservoir during her business trip.
Lee Jong Won will give life to the character named Gi Tae, who accompanies Su In to the reservoir and similarly faces a series of unexplained incidents.
A Place to Kill will be the next work of director Lee Sang Min, who also created the 2021 short film Honor Guard.
The official release date of the horror thriller film A Place to Kill has not yet been revealed.
This marks Kim Hye Yoon's grand comeback to the big screen, her last film appearance being in the 2022 movie Ditto.
Kim Hye Yoon will also be busy with the upcoming K-dramas Human from Today and The Year We Turned 29.
Last year, Kim Hye Yoon led the hit K-drama Lovely Runner with Byeon Woo Seok, Song Geon Hee, N.Flying's Lee Seung Hyub, Jung Young Joo, and Sung Byung Sook.
This upcoming movie will be Lee Jong Won's first leading role in a film. He was last seen on the big screen in 2019. He was a supporting role in the movie Family Affair led by Jang Hye Jin, Tae In Ho, Lee Ga Sub, Kim Jin Young, Lee Hyo Je, and Lee Sang Hee.
This will also be Lee Jong Won's follow-up project after the 2024 K-drama Brewing Love. In the series, he worked alongside Kim Se Jeong, Shin Do Hyun, Baek Sung Chul, Baek Hyeon Ju, and Park Jee A.
