Actors Yoon Jong Hwa and Shin Go Eun have officially ended their marriage.
Shin Go Eun has publicly announced via her social media account the end of her marriage to Yoon Jong Hwa. The actress revealed that the decision to end their three-year marriage was made approximately six months ago due to differences in their personalities and values. She also added, "Despite our efforts to resolve our incompatibilities, we were unsuccessful. We have resolved to dedicate ourselves to our individual works moving forward."
She also apologized to those who had cheered them on and sent their blessings for having to deliver this kind of news.
No statement has been issued by Yoon Jong Hwa's representatives in response to the news.
Yoon Jong Hwa and Shin Go Eun first met while working on the 2019 K-drama Bad Love. The two developed feelings for each other and began dating in 2020. After a year of dating, they tied the knot in May 2021. After three years of marriage, the two have decided to divorce and have gone their separate ways.
Yoon Jong Hwa's last K-drama project was the 2019 series Bad Love. The actor is known for being part of the K-dramas Different Dreams, Wind-Bell, You're Too Much, The K2, The Princess's Man, The World That They Live In, and more.
Meanwhile, Shin Go Eun was recently seen in the K-drama Buried Hearts led by Park Hyung Sik, Huh Joon Ho, Lee Hae Young, Hong Hwa Yeon, Woo Hyun, and Kim Jung Nan. She made a cameo appearance in the series from episodes 10-13.
Shin Go Eun's last K-drama project was the 2023 series Woman in a Veil. She worked alongside Choi Yoon Young, Lee Chae Young, Lee Sun Ho, Han Ki Woong, and Lee Eun Hyung.
