Chinese fantasy Sword and Beloved is coming October 25.
The drama is adapted from "Hu Yao Xiao Hong Niang" (狐妖小红娘) by Tuo Xiao Xin (庹小新), an author under Tencent Comics.
The story follows Wang Quan Fugui. Raised since childhood as the weapon of the Yi Qi Alliance for exterminating evil, Fugui encounters Qing Tong, a spider spirit who has infiltrated Wang Quan Manor as a spy. The coming of Qing Tong stirs Fugui's changing perspective on spirits. In Qing Tong's world, Fugui experiences a freedom he has never felt before, and his belief in a harmonious world gradually ignites.
The two make a promise to accompany each other through rivers and mountains. After enduring extreme grief and hardship, Fugui breaks free from the shackles of Wang Quan Manor and walks the path he believes to be right.
Wang Quan Fugui is the son of Wang Quan Hongye and Dongfang Huaizhu and the strongest member of the Wang Quan family. Raised by his family as a warrior, Wang Quan Fugui has lived a life without freedom. Qing Tong, originally a spy sent by the Poison Lady to the Wang Quan family to gather intelligence, meets Fugui and, with his help, regains her freedom.
At the same time, Wang Quan Fugui's yearning for freedom and his aspiration for world peace are gradually ignited. After enduring grief and hardship, Wang Quan Fugui leaves Wang Quan Manor with Qing Tong and sets out to carve his own path.
