Mystery thriller The Truth Within is premiering on December 29.
The drama tells the story of forensic examiner Qi Sizhe, who, while investigating the cause of his girlfriend's death, becomes entangled in a series of unsolved cases. Working together with police officers Zhu Qing Yue and Han Feng, he cracks bizarre cases and uncovers the "Raw Diamond" drug case.
Qi Si Zhe (Luo Yunxi), a young forensic examiner at the Licheng Public Security Bureau, loses his girlfriend, Yu Fei, in a car accident. But he begins to sense that behind what appeared to be an accident lies a mysterious mastermind pulling the strings.
To uncover the truth, Qi Si Zhe joins the Hecheng Public Security Bureau as a criminal investigation forensic examiner, only to be forcibly drawn into bizarre and terrifying cases. Victims who have been long dead are found wrapped in layers of cobweb-like threads, while missing bodies reappear submerged in formalin in the specimen room.
During the course of the investigations, he joins forces with Zhu Qingyue (Liu Yase) and Han Feng (Jiang Qilin), working together to crack bizarre cases. Meanwhile, the "Raw Diamond" drug case linked to Yu Fei's death gradually begins to reveal the tip of the iceberg.
