Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
Actor Choo Young Woo will reportedly join hands with Kim So Hyun in the newest ENA K-drama.
On November 4, media outlets reported that Choo Young Woo will be the male lead of the upcoming K-drama Romance Expert (working title). The K-drama was earlier offered to actress Kim So Hyun as well.
Choo Young Woo's agency, J WIDE Company, responded to the casting reports and stated, "Choo Young Woo did receive the offer to star in the new ENA K-drama and he is positively reviewing the offer."
Romance Expert will reportedly be the newest project of director Ahn Pan Seok, who is best known for creating the romance K-dramas The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, One Spring Night, and Something in the Rain. The K-drama will revolve around the romance of a former swimmer who lost his leg to illness and a woman who, after leaving medical school, began a new career as a graduate student.
Choo Young Woo got the offer to play the role of Park Min Jae, a man who lost his promising swimming career and his left leg to osteosarcoma. After hitting rock bottom, he discovers a new purpose in robotics. Four years of dedication pay off when he is accepted into the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University. He hides his sensitivity behind a nonchalant facade, but he's actually just a simple guy who has dating on his bucket list.
Kim So Hyun, on the other hand, got the offer to portray the role of Im Yoo Jin, the female lead.
The release date and the rest of the cast lineup for Romance Expert are currently undecided. The K-drama will exclusively air on ENA.
This will possibly be Choo Young Woo's follow-up K-drama after Head over Heels with Cho Yi Hyun, Cha Kang Yoon, Choo Ja Hyun, Kim Mi Kyung, and Yoon Byung Hee.
Before the year ends, Choo Young Woo will greet fans through the upcoming film Even if This Love Disappears from the World Tonight with Shin Shi Ah and Jin Ho Eun.
